Have a look at the CYP kit or the Octava kit.
That's good.
A lot of the no name chinese stuff is toss.
Silverbullet767, do as the man says, he knows his onions. That's good.

It's only transmitting 720p to a 26" HDTV in the bedroom. Not 2160p to a TV the size of Belgium over 20 miles away.
I think I'll take a punt at £30, christ I thought you ment similar priced!

The 2nd one I posted doesnt 'need' to be powered, but it can be.
At work here we have a 20m HDMI cable going between a Panasonic Blu-Ray player and a Sanyo HD projector.
The cable goes through a busy 42U rack full of AV equipment, up in to a cable tray holding several hundred AV cables, comes off that tray across a false ceiling beside a Mitsubishi aircon controller and ceiling cassette (with associated mains), and then down in to the projector.
We've had NO issues at all.

Your case in point is the same as mine, it will work ok and thats pretty much a fact.
However the people who manufacture and sell cables, components and AV equipment may try to convince you otherwise....

Was it a 20m HDMI cable costing £10?The cable goes through a busy 42U rack full of AV equipment, up in to a cable tray holding several hundred AV cables, comes off that tray across a false ceiling beside a Mitsubishi aircon controller and ceiling cassette (with associated mains), and then down in to the projector.

it was a sillyness that came from the CB radio era.
Actually not a silliness at all, and not from CB radio in particular. Any radio transmitter has to have the antenna tuned to match it on the frequency it is transmitting on. If you do not do this, a significant portion of the transmitted power is reflected back down the feed to the output stage of the transmitter, which at the least means your effective radiated power is much reduced and at worst can damage the transmitter. VSWR stands for Voltage Standing Wave Ratio - a perfectly matched antenna will have a ratio of 1:1, meaning all power fed to it will be radiated.tank slapper said:
