Sky HD - Upgrade

yep Its HD channels all the way now but most shows are SD just in a picture quality that does not have that awful compression applied. Actually its taken to now to get a picture quality as good as the old strong ariel analogue days

Watched Blade runner in HD tonight which was good fun, other than the fact it was the bdised 2007 version with a lot of content missing

honestly the difference really is "chalk" and "cheese"............worth every penny, its like watching a blueray movie then a normal DVD back to back!

Sky Anytime comes with HD so I'm not sure what you're asking?

Comet are advertising Sky HD for £29.

They mention you must take multiroom if you are an existing customer but you are bound to get round that somehow...

I registered for the £49 HD Deal with Sky on the 11th of Feb. I checked via the Sky Active thing today and my order status says they are still 2-4 weeks away from fulfilling my order.

Is there any way I can get HD quicker? I'm an impatient git!

I'm assuming this is down to the installer network in your area - must be, as there are some wild differences in order/installtion times. Mine was just under a week IIRC from ordering via Sky Active to installation.

Tell them you have been speaking to Virgin and you want to cancel because it is taking so long to install Sky.

They'll get you an install date there and then.

Got an email from Sky on Friday & the HD box is being fitted on Wednesday (11th).

I suppose a month from registering to it getting fitted isn't too bad. I just need to wait now and see what make of box they give me!
