Yeh, should be good, might have to wait a week or so for install, but meh.

What channels can I get in HD?
BBC HD, ESPN Sports HD (fantastic picture quality on the football), Living HD, FX HD, MTV HD, National Geographic HD and maybe Channel 4, not sure about that one.

There are loads of on demand programmes in HD too.

there are rumours (on the net, rather than any insider knowledge) that part of the reason for updated encryption - such as is now in place in Leeds, and stopping all of the dodgy box owners getting movies for nothing - is that Sky put it as a pre-requisite for getting their extended HD channel line up. I have no idea if that is true or not, be good if it was though.

Would be very good indeed. I would love Sky Sports HD but cannot have a dish where I live.

Bloody cheeky bds! I've just had a look at what we're paying (SWMBO deals with it normally.) £47.50 for 10M BB, L TV and phone line!! I've just spoken to them and dropped to the basic TV package (Why would I want 110 channels?) that's now £26.00. If I'd kept the same level of TV it'd be £30. I'm gobsmacked that they get away with it*

*Yes, I know it's because mugs like me allow them to.
I think we're on the same deal. I meant to get onto them when this thread started, but forgot, as usual....

£50 a month just surf the net, make a few phone calls and watch crap telly!

That time of year again to get onto virginmedia and see what I can squeeze out of them in terms of discounts. Has anyone tried this recently? Is it the same ruse - say you're off to sky and they offer all sorts of deals?
