I just renewed after a long wait with the online chat system:

Sky Signature (was entertainment)
Sky Cinema
Sky Kids
Sky HD
(already have a Q 2TB box)

£31pm, not a fantastic deal but with it being so difficult to get through to them it will do..
does that include netflix? did you have to threaten to leave etc
Doesn’t include Netflix (I have this already). Also just looked at my future bills and it states £39 not £31 so need to speak them again, they don’t make this easy do they!

Just called up to try and get a better deal.

Currently paying £79.50 for Q plus silver multiscreen and films. Including free F1 legacy. Not in contract now.

All they could offer me was Signature, with everything as it is. So films, Q plus mini boxes, with F1 as a package (not legacy) and paid for at £65 on a new 18 months contract. Said the F1 could be paused so would be £55 with that paused.

I could get it down to £61 just by removing films, which we don't watch.

So really no offer from them, apart from a new contract..... Told them to cancel. Hope I get a call back from retentions, but how are people getting deals in the £30's with sports and everything?
did they get back to you?
Nope, no contact. Had an email last week, with a questionnaire to complete. Why leaving, what could we have done different etc. Completed with answers that would leave them to believe I would stay if offered a better deal. Still no contact.

Getting worried, might just call them and cancel the movies, so I still get Q and all the TV £50+ for Sky Q and all the TV it comes with (free F1) and mini boxes. Is that too much? Have other people got them to reduce the standard package to stop them leaving?

Approaching the end of my contract and went onto the Sky website assuming I'd have to play the 'no I'm definitely leaving' game. Pleasantly surprised that on the 'My Account' page I was immediately offered Sky Signature which is the same as my current Entertainment package for £22 a month. Thought I'd treat myself to Netflix while I was at it and now locked in to 18 months at £28 a month.

Might be worth a quick look for anyone approaching the end, perhaps they've made it a bit easier due to the current situation...

Log in, go to My Account then scroll to the bottom Offers & Upgrades. I look occasionally and its usually just advertising adding Cinema / Sport which I don't have, but this time also had the Signature deal.

Just gone on again and its gone, plus the deal to add Cinema for £11 has miraculously gone up to £17pm today!

Just checked on mine and Signature is offerred at 25/month, with cinema 9/month... Seems like everyone gets a different price.
It is maddening.

Just remembered to pause Sports, saves a bit of money.

The billing does my head in, this months bill...

I have the exact same package as you but I have 1 mini box too. Was paying £57 a month and now in my last month so after cancelling my broadband thought I'd do the TV too. Went through to retention's. He reeled off what he could do it all for - £66. I gracefully declined. He did seem shocked that I didn't want to renew for another 18 months on a more expensive package......

Had a look at the signature deal and seemed a good shout, now slightly confused....

If I resign for 18 months...

If I stay on my current contract length...

Thoughts?

Are they the wrong way around? Cheaper to not sign up? Or your wording is!

£4 a month isn’t much, up to you. You’d prob get a lot more off if you ‘threaten’ to cancel. Or sign up in the missuses name

Nope they’re the right way round. It’s £5 off + my current £4 if I don’t resign?!

I’ve just sorted the fibre, that’s dropped by £11pm and dropping movies so should go from my current £79.99 to £53!

Oh so it’s backwards. Prob go with the cheaper non contracted one then!

Look back a page or 2 for new user deals. I have sports, films, Netflix, HD for £35/month.

I’ve used Facebook a few times, they suggest calling numbers, so explain they are for key workers et al, then they usually help. Depends on the issue.

Honestly I CBA with the whole dance. If I can get down from £80 to £53 with the same package (without movies) and the fibre them I’m happy!

Ah come on, where’s the fun?! It’s like a young lads first time teetering on the edge of ‘pulling the trigger’ too soon, place your bets lads, where do you think he’ll come?

I had an engineer visit booked for 24th to upgrade from Sky+ to Q. Received a text yesterday:
Hello, this is Sky. We're sorry but we have had to postpone your visit. This is due to new processes we're putting in place due to the coronavirus. We'll be back in touch in the coming weeks to rearrange the visit. Please stay safe in the meantime.

And then an email today:

A date for your diary

Your Sky TV will be set up on:
08/06/2020 between 8am and 5pm

Didn’t check my availability but I think all things considered that’s fair enough.

Just need to make sure I’m not being billed for Q in the interim!
So just to complete this. I received a text saying a Sky engineer was available to visit to perform a distanced install of Q in 4 days. i.e. he did the LNB work and I did the internal setup. I accepted as was home (where else?!).
Did not help that my car battery was non-responsive (despite being on a conditioner) when he arrived, so I couldn't move it off the drive for easy access to my dish. He accommodated and put his ladder at very weird angle to replace LNB. It was fine to keep the same wiring which takes a convoluted route to my sky box. He gave me very clear instructions re what to do my end and then was on his way. Great service and my wifi with the mesh network is now fantastic.
Credit where credit's due.
