As long as it stays around then a valuable option. You are looking at over £100 cheaper again than my Yamaha Music Cast option. Oh 6 Zones that is £660 saved! On top of the £1200 or so against Sonos.

That Yamaha Multicast system seems a GREAT compromise between cost and quality and the name definitely inspires confidence.
Just a heads up for anyone considering the Yamaha units
If you use Tidal to stream you have to use the Yamaha app to operate tidal.
While it is not the worst app i have seen, it makes using tidal a pain, searching for tracks involves pressing the back key lots, waiting for the screen to load etc.
On the other hand Tidal lists chromecast from the app
Spotify will work with the Yamaha but having made the jump to Tidal as Spotify seem in no hurry to go high res this is all a bit frustrating
A comparison between the two (chromecast and the Yamaha wxad10 streamer) didnt reveal a massive gap in quality especially as the yamaha is £100 more!
Appreciate the installers here require the ethernet ,so if you go for the Yamaha just watch which streaming services will work with it.

Ah, I understand your system better now - my previous suggestion was thinking you were putting separate amps in each room.
For that house though, cables were ordered in 10’s of kilometers. We also had to dig a trench 100m long to the tennis courts.

Trying to convince the general public to buy into one ‘ecosystem’ only won’t work for long.
