Just load up Master and Commander preferably on BluRay in DTS-HD Master Audio
Chapter 4 the quiet bit in the beginning of the chapter the rigging creaking
the wind in the sails etc, then all hell breaking loose as the Acheron opens fire!!
The disc is stellar demo material from start to finish, and a good film to boot!!!
Better get that one tomorrow. I'm getting a bit bored with Pearl Harbour!Chapter 4 the quiet bit in the beginning of the chapter the rigging creaking

I am nominating Jean Michel Jarre's "Aero".
In DTS, it's the best, most immersive use of 5.1 I've ever heard.
The SACD of "Brothers In Arms" is also pretty good.
Dark Side of the Moon (SACD) - the intro to Money is a great demo.In DTS, it's the best, most immersive use of 5.1 I've ever heard.
The SACD of "Brothers In Arms" is also pretty good.
War of the Worlds (SACD) is another good one. Disc 1, track 2; Horsell Common And The Heat Ray.
"Pearl Harbor" (sic) and "Behind Enemy Lines" arrived today.
I must say chaps, there were a few details about "Pearl Harbor" (sic) that you forgot to remind me about:
1. It's got Ben Affleck in it.
2. It's about 6 hours long.
3. It's your traditional Hollywood story of how the Yanks win the war, capture the Enigma machine and bring about world peace.
4. It shows Cuba Gooding Jnr as the ship's cook who goes on to save the ship. Now we all know that's Steven Seagal's job.
5. It's got Ben Affleck in it.
However, after skipping to chapter 22, I realised what all the fuss is about, especially as the tin box, "Collector's Edition" version I got is in Dolby Digital EX (6.1).
Very, very good.
And as for "Behind Enemy Lines" - what a cracking film.
And, completely off topic, if the tracksuit-top wearing sniper from BEL wasn't the inspiration for Victor Zakhaev in "Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare", then I'll eat my hat.
I thank you for the recommendations.
