Grey import, not an official UK model.
Irrespective of this, is it a good buy? or is the X10 worth the extra £80?

The X10 is the entry set, this is a 'budget' version of a set thats the entry point in the UK market.

Its got less connections which may or may not matter to you and a lower quality case - this is what will make it or break it IMO.
Is that all the difference is? Why such a difference in price?

Given the price drop looming on the X10...
So it may be worthing waiting if he X10 is going to drop in price and get that then?

I've been toying with buying a Panny plasma for an age.

I've noticed with demand exceeding supply the 37X10 has gone up a bit in price. Wish I had made a move sooner now.

37X10s have suddenly become as but the rocking horse manure (42s nearly as bad... wink)
SO it seems. Is it worth waiting or should I just take the plunge and be grateful that I'm getting a great TV for the money?

I have finally got round to buying a TV.

Went to my local Panasonic Store and bagged a 37X10 with 5 year warranty for £545.00, quite happy with that although probably not the cheapest.

I checked this morning RS wanted £540 with 1 year warranty and didn't have any stock and JL wanted £550. I rang the Panny store, they had one left.

Next question. What wall bracket to go for?

Pay about £35.00 for a flat one but dont buy 'cheap' if you want a swivel type.

Was the 5 year warranty a Panasonic one or from a 3rd party? Did you buy it befor ethe end of Aug?
It's a Panny warranty. Bought it today, wasn't able to buy it in August due to other circumstances.

Shrew, can you give me a link to one that you could recommend? All the ones I've found so far are about £50.00.
