Ive been trying to set one of these things up today and failed badly. The box is hardwired to the router and I have a laptop running Vista. I have enabled media and file sharing, the firewall has been turned off, laptop is turned on and media player is running.
In the Humax menu it shows it is connected to the network and I can even navigate the laptops file structure from the Humax menu's but when I access any picture there is no preview and it dosent display the pictur fullscreen either (just get the message 'Processing').
Similar thing with video only it says 'Cant play this file type' Tried AVI's, WMV's and MPG's.
For music it dosent even see the file structure.
In short I cant get the content sharing working.
Any ideas?

Yeh, its flummoxed me, im normally quite good at getting this stuff working, im not too sure if there is something else at the PC end needs doing or weather its one of Humax's software upgrades required. Ive had a good old search of tinternet, just wondering if anyone here had had a fiddle with one.

LOL tell me about it wink. Ive been stitched up coutless times this week, every time you turn on veira cast you have to wait 20 mins now for a software upgrade before you can do anything. The HDD/DVD combo's are doing it too frown
