Richer Sounds are doing these with 5yr warranty for just under £500 (£50 cheaper than John Lewis).
the reviews seem to be really really good in terms of functionality, picture quality and sound quality.
my gf' is after a 37" or 40" tv with full 1080p and ideally freeview HD (which the samsung has). she was looking at the Sony KDL40EX503 in John Lewis but the picture quality is absolutely crap when compared with the Samsung, Toshiba and Panasonic TV's lined up alongside.
the budget is £500 absolute max and she wants the best bang for the buck...
any opinions on the samsung?
(i recently bought a cheap tesco tecnika tv for the bedroom which has a samsung panel and the picture quality is absolutely amazing... far better than the expensive toshiba tv i put on the wall in the kitchen or the sony bravia in the living room)
