BBC iPlayer, 4OD et al in the living room
Discussion
OK, what is the collective wisdom on getting On Demand services to the living room.
Personally, I use Boxee on my mac but it isn't exactly parent proof and this is for the folks.
I was thinking about the Boxee Box, but its not quite ready for prime time; equally a PS3 will be dismissed as a 'console'.
The leading choice is therefore one the current gen Sony Blu Ray players which support iPlayer and LoveFilm with the other services to come. I was tempted to get the new Humax HDR box (they already have a SD Humax) but iPlayer isn't live yet
.
Is there another option that I'm missing? Do the Popcorn Hour or Roku fit the bill?
Forgot to say that Cable & Sky aren't viable option; if they were, then the new Tivo powered Virgin box would be on its way.
