TVRCC 50th Anniversary celebration 17th - 19th July 2015
Discussion
It is important to note before progressing further that the this is a TVRCC MEMBERS ONLY event
The information is being posted to allow non TVRCC members who may wish to find out more about the event before making the decision to join the club.
The Shuttleworth element is of course a public event so anyone can buy a ticket and attend this part of the event but the evening meal will be restricted to TVRCC members only. The second day at Millbrook is however a private hire so tickets and access will be restricted to TVRCC members ONLY.
This is the first time that ANY Car Club has hired these facilities and it promises to be an exciting opportunity to drive the various tracks that are not available to members of the general public unless they are fortunate enough to be invited to a corporate event.

We can now also announce that Millbrook have lifted the restriction on cameras for the day.
It all depended on whether they had customers on site but it's now been confirmed that we're free to use all photographic equipment without restriction.
Great news.

I hadn't planned to go but might be able to attend on Saturday now . Does anybody know if I pay shuttelworth entry on the gate could I then park with the TVRs . I am a club member but will not have a club ticket .

Hi Dale,Dale
The Shuttleworth Airshow is a public event and so you will be able to attend and join us for the day, however you will have to use the public car parks and pay on the day with Shuttleworth. You would be welcome to join the run to Shuttleworth from the hotels in the morning too.
The reason for this is the event participants will be separated by the parking attendants based upon the people wearing the Saturday Event Wristbands. If you are not wearing a wristband you will be directed to the general parking area. This is because the wristbands also include the entry fee to Shuttleworth which we have paid in advance to Shuttleworth in accordance with the exact number sold. The evening hangar party entry is by separate wristband as in order to arrange the catering we needed to pre-book this too and therefor you will not be able to join the hangar party in the evening.
Sunday is at Millbrook and this is a secure facility, entry will be controlled by the specific Millbrook Entry wristbands. The Millbrook gate is staffed by their own security and there will be no TVRCC office staff at the gate. The event site is about a mile from the gate and we are not permitted to travel from the event site to the gate without a Millbrook escort and so it would be difficult to send someone up there to verify membership, take payment and issue security wristbands. We did consider positioning a member of the office staff at the gate but as we need to organise almost 400 driver briefings, during which we need to collect indemnity forms and issue driver wristbands, together with possibly another 300 passenger wristbands again swapped for completed indemnity forms, plus issue hundreds of goodie bags and sort out many other minor issues on the day we just don’t have the capacity.
I am very sorry we cannot accommodate pay on the day for Sunday, as you can see we have considered it but the logistics just don’t work as there is such a lot to do in a very short time frame. I hope you can make it for the Saturday, I'm sure it will be a good day out.
Cheers
Richard

Can non members come if they are with a Tvrcc member, how long does a membership take to administrate.
Yes a non-member can attend with a TVRCC member if they live at the same address.... You can join on-line in the TVRCC shop HERE or call the ladies in the TVRCC office on 01952 822 126
Just rang the office, and they've confirmed if your passenger/buddy/better half isn't a member, and doesn't live at the same address as you, they're NOT allowed in! Something to do with insurance.
I may well look to sell my tickets on, as buying a year's membership for a friend to go for the day is daft. It's either that or get him to move in with me, but I don't think the missus would like that!
edit: I've since learned the restriction is not Millbrook's. If you turn up with a purple wristband, you will get in. The issue would come if you were asked where your passenger lived, unless they lived at the same address as you, of course.
