THUNDER IN THE TUNNELS 9!!!!!!!!
Discussion
Having contacted TfL and received confirmation that the Northbound tunnel was fully open overnight and on the morning of the run, coming onto the approach to see the red lights was more than a little annoying!!
I definitely agree it's worth taking it out of the route as it doesn't really add that much to the run either.
Unfortunately with family health issues ongoing at the moment I won't have time to organise this one, but happy to forward on the routes again if someone else can take it on and be the chief ... has anyone volunteered already??
Looking forward to a summer run though, and the exhaust may get a bit louder for this one if all goes to plan!

This, from www.Londontraffic.org:
Blackwall Tunnel Fixed Closures
Check the traffic feed for any unexpected temporary closures.
Maintenance closures typically take place on Sundays from 12:00am to 9:00am or 10:00am.
I did say "not normally closed".Blackwall Tunnel Fixed Closures

Whilst it's not the best tunnel, the O2 car park is pretty easy one to find, just off the A2, and you can get a cuppa and have a pee while you're waiting as well (organiser note - any chance of a couple of toilet locations en route next time? Nearly got caught short on the last run!)
I always find Westferry a pig to find due to all the junctions/roundabouts and so on round there, not to mention dodgy GPS coverage - in fact I missed it completely on the last run.
It also featured in a recent news story regarding noise, local residents, and an MP with no other problems in his constituency so perhaps not a place you want to be parked up for too long...

Sunday the 9th of May is TVR day at Brooklands. it would be rude not to have TiTT 9 then.
+1Can we have a vote on that date please?
We also need a volunteer organiser.....ideally someone who lives close to London.
I will do it from 100 miles away if a closer volunteer cannot be found.
Sorry guys, but we are never going to please everyone on timing. There will doubtless be another October run too.
If we make it in the school hols that will blow more people out. 12th May is at least in school term time and it is TVR day at Brookands. Compelling reason to have t that day, I think.

If I am getting the map and compass out then someone else can start the list, but include me on it please.
Anyway, I haven't a clue how to make one of those nicely tabulated lists.
There's a faint chance we might get Alex mobile by 12th May..........who am I kidding?
