Nice pics, the red 500 with the stripes is mine. What did your friend mean by fruity exhaust? http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.101502402...

It was very slippy yesterday, just couldn't get the power down. I was running R888 @ 14Lb and was spinning the wheels in 3rd for a considerable distance. To that end my quickest time was 13.2 Have done 12.7 before at Odiham.
I was a great day and good to be able to put names to faces. I was supprised how quite it was and how many runs we were able to have.
This should be an annual or bi-annual event.
Thanks again Derek for the organising and taking the time to advise people on the day, even though you had enough on your mind as it was.
Cheers
Barrie
PS What at a git of a place to find, got totaly lost on the way home and ended up in Luton.

I am going to give the bloke a twenty for his trouble. How far did he take you Paul? Did the RAC ask any awkward questions?
Once you get the truck out they are not bothered, they are being paid anyway. Its if they try and get you going, that guy is an RAC bod.
So no he didnt.
I gave the guy £20 also, we went around 4 miles to a village called Bozeat, there was a pub so sank a couple while waiting, beef cob and cheese an onion crisps too!
Raceproved shafts are going to have to be junked now, as its got through nearly a Grands worth of them!

Yes, for everyone apart from a handful of bikes, unbelievably fast, still badged as a 1.3, hilariousHad a great day lads, thanks to Derek for organising. Was great to meet everyone, good to see the AJP's and Speed 6's proving to be the most reliable
First time for me, bit nervous, my best, 12.06 @ 122mph, need to practice changing gear and hitting the limiter in 4th just before the line don't help either...new diff ratio over the winter, me thinks.
Few taken by Phil on my camera.

Great day Derek [but for yours of course] Enjoyed it and nice to put faces to some names and meet the nicer guys on PH that I didn't previously know; simon says, biper, slideways, hiltonig, boosted cerb,ajp70 and anyone I can't remember etc, in fact all that I met Glad you got some refreshment as I'd only thought of it on my way home Wish I could take several set-backs in same calm manner as you seem to do. Pity you didn't run as yours and pauls [brummie] were the ones I was looking forward to seeing along with blackiepauls sagaris [???] and wanted to see the showdown between them. Anyhow, great fun, nice folks and hope we can do again.
Hope you get home ok derek and good luck with the motor
PS; that escort was MENTAL!!!
PPS; is it me but was everyone lacking in grip on launch?

The first car is my Chim loosing grip off the line, thanks to Derek`s advice with suspension tweaking i got a 13.5 @ 102 on my seveth attempt and my best 60ft of 2.0922http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4yI-qrELdw
The track was very slippy and the air very humid so thats my excuse for poor times.
Great day though and really enjoyed it, can`t wait till the next one
Paul..
