Chimaera or Tuscan, it'll be good to see you back in a TVR soon Ray!
I understand the 'needs must'...With two young boys now and a big bill looming, I think I'm going to have to SORN mine for a year...
Big decision, but I can't face selling it! So maybe 6mths, maybe a year, I don't know, but it's still a crap feeling! Maybe only 2 more weeks to have a drive out?? oh well, I'll have the most highly polished car in Cheshire!
I'll still try and meet up, just have to skulk away in a Renault or VW...
Matt.

I think I will be taking mine off the road for between 2 weeks and 2 months depending on what I can realistically do in that time. Will be putting on new pads, discs, hoses, engine mounts and bleeding the system. I am consider trying to lift the body a few inches at some point so I can do a propper job on the chassis rails. Was also considering re-powder coating the suspension arms and bushes at some point, but would also require a geo set up.
It maybe a bit late in the year now so might just do a bit of preventive work and save all the real dirty stuff till after the summer.
Anyone know what exectly is involved in a partial body lift!
Please tell me it's just 13 bolts and a few bricks

Well I've started now, so I have to finish! On axle stands, minus 4 wheels, 3 buckets of sludgy black crap/dirt from underneath, some of the breaks/calipers off and shortly the suspension arms! Nothing really worrying me yet (apart from how messy the old waxoil is to remove!).
One or 2 bits of surface rust on the front of the outriggers and the worst bits seem to be the bottom suspension arms (will be having them blasted and powder coated), but generally seems to be all good. A big thank you to the previous owner/garage that kept every nut under the car covered in waterproof grease - not even rounded one off yet!
