Yes,
Enjoyed the day saturday, shame I could'nt be there today.

I did 12 runs on saturday, best time was 13.319 for the day, so i did'nt beat my personal best of 13.25, but theres always another day. I'm still pleased with that for a standard motor (on old tyres)

The next run what you brung day is the 19th Sept at Santa pod, is anyone interested, I would like to go (if its not raining) it would be good to see some fellow TVR's there. (see www.rwyb.com)

Cheers

Steve

Where were the Wedgers? Very Poor!

Regardless, that was a good weekend: weather, company, experience. Would have liked to get into the mid 12's (12.8 best; need R888's me thinks). Perry's 12.5 was pretty darned impressive as was his consistency with mid 12's all weekend. Good to see the FFG's battling it out with near identical times: Paul's 4.3 BV is pretty darned impressive and more than a match for any 5 litre.

I hope Rob and his C3C guys got some runs in Sunday; was busy that day.

In combination it was a good TVR showing and despite the 1/4 mile hammering there were no mechanical failures that some others suffered.

I've seen some of the rolling shots 5.ltr (Bob) took; maybe he could attach some of those. Very impressive behind a lense is that man. smile

Just heard from Jeremy who hosted us at SCRW:-

You may have noticed some guys from the Press weilding big lenses. Well, it's likely that the fruits of their work will be forwarded on to SCRW to pick through. I'm hoping that anything TVR will come my way; if it does I'll post it here.

Great weekend so well done Bruce (and Nicola) for arranging. Sunday was very busy compared to Saturday although we did get 3 runs in at the back end of the day. The 500 and 4.3BV were very close both in times and terminal speed every time. We did 6 or 7 runs of which Mrs FFG beat me twice - I'm excluding the run I did in 4th!! My best was 13.5 and top terminal 108 which if I could get off the line better I'm sure I could get low 13's or maybe in the 12's.
Some serious machinery there though - may not look much but boy can some of it shift.

Not too shabby on standard tyres.
With a 108 terminal there is a 12.8 to be had with a pair of R888's.
Im sure you will be back to find out.
Watch out tho you may get addicted!

Interesting.
I was thinking the track was better on the Saturday.

One thing Bruce.... whens the next time?
Wedges v Griffs v Chims v AJPs v Speed 6 v others (LS etc)

There is talk of a meet at Santa Pod on 1st of November or for the more Northerly inclined i will be at York on the 20th this month.
