Whose coming to N Garner Open Day at SN16 9SH - 26th Sept 15
Discussion
The Open Day like last year, will take place on the last Saturday of this month, 26th Sept at the usual place, Kemble Business Park at SN16 9SH on the Wilts / Glos border near Kemble airfield on the A429. This year's attraction for those of you interestied in coming will be hot rods - hoping for up to 30 on display besides the usual crowd of TVRs . Hopefully having five hots rods to do 'battle' with TVRs who volunteer to put their cars up for the rolling road and the loud noise contest. So if you think you've got the power or noise to out run the hot rods, then bring it on!!! Usual TVR traders with hopefully more than ever before, making this the largest TVR traders event. Workshops similar to last year, new caterers to suit all tastes with even 'posh' coffee on site too. All we ask, if you or you know of fellow TVRs drivers that are coming, do please continue the thread by adding your names and cars, just so we can monitor the numbers of cars for parking. As of before all monies raised from this free TVR event will go towards the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.appeal. So please support us by coming. Thanking you!

As I'm useless with this grid pattern can some one TAKE OUT no 14 ...... Chim Fender It is our great leader David. Nothing personal just that he is down on the list TWICE!
Thank you to Ian and Lord Grover for keeping an eye on this - most obliged. All things going well, more traders, better food and the Hot Rod battle should make it the best yet Open Day at Neil Garner's. Just prey for the weather!

I have heard that there are a lot more coming, but getting them to sign on to Pistonheads and place their name down seem to prove difficult! I think last year we had around 70 - 80 TVRs listed here but in actually fact we topped the 300 mark that turned up to the event. Of course there are a lot of people being cautious with the weather - deciding near the time which I can understand. We have always been well supported by the midlands, Hampshire and Berkshire members. If you know you are coming do please add your name as it helps us to pre monitor for car parking at the event on the day - Many thanks

What time does this usually end?
Officially 4pm! Do you still have the Typhon? If so, you are most welcome to bring it. Please give us notice and we will reserve you a special place - providing you can get to the event early enough. If in need of more info feel free to email me.griffgray said:
I'm coming to help and I shall be parked out the back somewhere .......as not in a TVR anymore although I still display " my other car is a TVR " in my daily driver.
As YOU have a special car - we have reserved parking for you in the non TVR area but specials and elite performance cars.Update.......
Stay for the auction..... TVR owner Mr Edgar has now agreed to take questions and answers. Apart from the interview he gave to the motoring press and of course the Sprint magazine - this is 'a first' and we the organisers are very honoured to have him attend let alone speak to an audience. While the show is of the same format as of the previous years we have however, worked hard to keep you all interested by putting new twists to the show - hence Battle Of The Hot Rods against the TVRs for the loud noise comp and the rolling road - And a different style and feel to the catering as well. For those coming we hope you all enjoy this year's event - not forgetting please do support our charity - The Wiltshire Air Ambulance. It is once again, free entry but we do ask you to support the raffle and auction where you can - Thank You. We have many prizes but just to mention..... A trip for a half hour over the Cotswolds in a helicopter or even perhaps take your first lesson and learn to fly the helicopter - Half Day learning to drive a rally car, A trip in a new Lamborghini Huracan thanks HR Owen of Pangbourne; a £350 TVR service by Neil Garner; a 20% off a total respray by Surface and Design; Race Meet - Day in the pits with Neil Garner (money can't buy that!), Ride as passenger in a GT3 around Silverstone given by Blatters; A 3hr Diagnostic Test from Lloyds Developments; Silicon hose kit given by A.C.T and so on and so on!! Enjoy. I look forward to meeting you and thank you for your support just by coming! Over and Out Paul

Is there a time table of events anywhere so people with limited time can work out when to arrive?
Not on line, things keep changing! But programme flyers will be handed out tomorrow. Basically hot rods on the rolling road 'on the hour' and workshop / theatre sessions 'on the half hour' . One to look out for is the talk given at 11.30 am by the guy who has the Morris Minor, except this moggie is on a Griffith chassis complete with twin turbo 5 litre engine!!! Still a Working project! Auction starts at 2pm with Les Edgar doing a Q/A session at the start of the auction. EnjoyEdited by marz92 on Friday 25th September 07:51

Forget to say gates open at 9.30 am so get there when you can Peak times will be around 11. - 11.30am. And if anything like last year, at that time you could end up parking in the field next door as we will be completely full on site with TVRs

Good day for us as well.
Happy with the healthy increase on BHP from last year on the rolling road, third in the noise competition and some lovely cars there.
Thanks to everyone for inviting the Hot Rod Hooligans!
