I'd like to buy and watch a marathon box set of one of the last decade's best TV shows with the missus

She hates watching anything with extensive sexual scenes but completely draws the line at sexual violence, (we had to switch off the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo during the first rape scene on Sky a while back and I ended up watching it on my own later)

Can anyone recommend anything that fits the bill? The only major series I've watched so far is The Wire which I loved and would have been ok to watch with the wife as I don't remember anything overtly sexually violent (the assaults by Michael's step father seemed largely to be implied)

I'd quite like to watch Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Lost in that order. Would these be ok to watch with the wife?

Or would anyone like to recommend anything else?

Yeah, get a new Mrs. wink

Breaking Bad is, for me, the best TV drama I've ever seen. Can't recall sexual violence from it.

I'm two episodes into the first season of Breaking Bad. There's some slap and tickle pretty much straight away, though not violent. Better described as 'enthusiastic grunting', I think hehe

Person of Interest
Continuum
NCIS
Warehouse 13
Sherlock
Murdoch Mysteries

Most of them (mainly ncis) have implied scenarios rather than visual esp if referencing sexual violence. Any actual love scenes are brief.

Mad Men is fairly vanilla, there is a bit of humping but most of it is implied rather than full frontal nudity and 'rhythmic grunting'; it's difficult to be properly rapey when you've got outside a bottle of bourbon before lunchtime and smoked 40 coffin nails. Definitely West Wing though.

The Killing, American version, not much visual sexness in it, a little but more implied, mostly a good slow burn thriller, it is only 2 seasons long but I found it so good I had to watch it all in (almost) one go.

For me, prison break started out fantastically, and then descended into a long, dull, drawn-out farce that bored me to tears by the end...

Not seen BB, the Sopranos...there is quite a bit of sex in it, short scenes, mostly Tony cheating. There is the odd scene where violence is implied, there is quite a bit of violence all round in it though, some towards women. Might not be for you.
Wire and Sopranos are A grade stuff.
Lost is E-.

BSG is a good call, it doesn't have many sex scenes compared to the others. If you watch it it, watch it from the mini-series first, not the first episode of '33'.
Mad Men, lots of sexuality in it, not that much actual sex. Of the rich A-list serial drama shows (as opposed to some of the procedurals mentioned above) it is as said probably the most vanilla.

Awwww.... I was going to suggest that. I can vouch there being no tits, ass and dick in that series. No siree.
