Couldn't see a thread on this. Sky Atlantic, episode 1 last night. makers of Lost.
Have to say I really enjoyed it, looks promising. Not sure what the hell is going on yet but all looks good. Anyone watching it?
I got half way through Ep 1 before SWMBO decided she was going to bed. I was trying to get her to watch it so I didn't then have to consign this to the pile of series that I can only watch when she's not around - of which there are already too many!Have to say I really enjoyed it, looks promising. Truth be told though, it didn't "grab" me. Yes, the start gave rise to an interesting premise, but I can see this meandering on for series after series with little or no explanation. It's not like Lindelof is without form for that - I'm looking at you, Lost!
So, I don't know how far I'll persevere with it. Too many things to watch, too little time to watch them all.....
I was surprised to see Paterson Joseph in it - he's about the most unHollywood British actor you'd ever expect to see in a big-budget US production!

Seen the trailers and they left me disinterested, it comes across as just another American dystopian science fiction series with little substance that will get canned before or during season two.
It has been renewed for a second series - but in some ways that just makes it harder to decide whether to watch it I generally won't start watching something if I know it has already been canned.Just watched the 5th episode of Season 1 last night, the other half is intreaged but Im starting to lose the will. Please somebody assure me that its worth sticking with! Most importantly, please tell me that we get told the relevance of the fecking muppets in white sometime soon, theyre getting right on my tits now!
I may need to stop watching this show...

La...La...La...Not listening! No spoilers people!
I didn't say what happens? I just asked if it was worth carrying on watching
They are NOT spoilers, just thoughts after watching up to episode 5! I haven't a clue how it will pan out, so how can what I wrote be construed as a spoiler?I didn't say what happens? I just asked if it was worth carrying on watching

I'm hooked but I don't really know why.
Because like Lost you want to know what happened but it'll take 5-10 seasons and will drag on with no resolve until it turns out everyone left is dead and its just a dream...PurpleMoonlight said:
Can anyone tell me why the sect constantly smoke?
I've only seen the first 2 episodes, so I don't know if it gets revealed in a later epsiode, and makes me look a buffoon... but the only thing I could think of was that when they crashed the "celebration" in the park in episode one, they were holding signs saying "DON'T WASTE YOUR BREATH". Thought perhaps it was saying "you may as well use your breath to smoke, as it will do as much good as talking about those who are gone" sort of thing.Hopefully there is more to it than that though, as when I read it back it sounds about as farcical as the black smoke in lost..
I just watched the latest episode of this on SKY Anytime (I think it is a week ahead), and quite enjoyed this episode.
I am thinking they are all in some kind of collective coma, and perhaps dreaming - and that guy's dad was there to try and help him get out of it?
But could be wrong...
