Ghostbusters 3, hmmmm..
Discussion
Looks like they may be about to do an all female Ghostbusters, not sure about this, part of the charm of the original was the geeky bloke thing, not sure if it will suit women, not being sexist and keeping an open mind but I cant get my head round it.

Hoping there is at least Cameos from Dan Akroyd and Ernie Hudson, and would be fantastic if Bill Murray put an appearance in seeing it has gone in a different direction to the one he was dead set against.
Just hope it isnt Bridesmaids with Ghosts.
Melissa McCarthy can do funny so that may work, dont know the others.

I know Kristen Wiig from Saturday Night Live. She's very versatile.

I think it'll be st.
Not because it has a female cast, or that's "another remake" but the combination of the two.
I sequel could have been great, but not that's not possible - maybe it could have worked now Harold Ramis is sadly gone if Bill Murray was not only in it, but 'up for it' or maybe if Bill Murray was either not in it, or made a cameo and Ramis was still with us - but this will be so much Robocop - it'll bare little or no resemblance to the original - it'll just use the name and a few aspects to make for a ready made audience.

Absolutely agree with this. I've also heard that Disney are considering 'rebooting' (awful phrase) Indiana Jones with a different lead. How is this even possible!!Not because it has a female cast, or that's "another remake" but the combination of the two.

I just cant get to how the entire crew has gone female in the intervening years, needs to be a good premise, all the other cast need including, the fans of the original need to be appeased, I think if it were a franchise operation, that could work.
Wonder what car they will have, will Rick Moranis, Sigourney Weaver etc have a part to play, will Bill Murray get involved now ?
Will the writing be as good, will the writers get the original and pay it the respect it deserves ?
Such a shame Harold Ramis died, he was up for it.

You just know it'll be littered with man jokes and fat jokes. The female comedians go-to repertoire.
Ghostduster 1: Ooh, this ghost is a fat one.
Ghostduster 2: Speak for yourself dahling.
Audience: *groan*
Yep bet on plenty of references to ex-boyfriends etc - particularly comparisons to the ghosts they are busting.Ghostduster 1: Ooh, this ghost is a fat one.

I'm also betting on a falling out where they all go their separate ways, before reflecting on their friendship and ultimately having a tearful reunion immediately prior to busting the main baddie.
and to top off - if there is a fire station and fire poles involved - expect a Bridgett Jones style "big ass in camera" gag.

You clearly aren't aware Rick Moranis retired from acting nearly 20 years ago to concentrate on his family after his wife died. Wonder what car they will have, will Rick Moranis, Sigourney Weaver etc have a part to play, will Bill Murray get involved now ?

The line 'you go girl' will be used. And a remake of the ghostbusters theme will be sung by a woman, probably beyonce.
We could write this st in an hour.
