The reviews are astonishingly good - "better than Wandavision" type comments being freely bandied about.

This is the one I've been waiting for.
Going by the trailers so far I've got no doubt this will top Wandavision and Falcon.
He's one of the best characters in Marvel, played brilliantly by Tom.
Also good to see Owen Wilson having a major role.
Not going to read any reviews and I'll just wait until I've seen it to pass judgement.

Not a high bar. Falcon was terrible, the character who played The Falcon a poor actor and totally charisma-free. Also woeful script and direction. Wandavision marginally better, mainly because of the unusual premise Loki may well be much better but only because of Hiddleston... .Gadgetmac said:

Loved Wandavision and mostly enjoyed Falcon, this feels much closer to Wandavision at the moment. Not sure if it's easier to follow though, my wife is the benchmark for me (not an MCU nerd), she latched on to that straight away but had no idea what was going on here with Loki.
They explained the timelines and the multiverse in a fun way, but I'd say just in one episode this has pulled far, far more from the MCU than the other two shows.

I really enjoyed it, only had to pause twice to explain a couple of things to Mrs Ash!
I like the humour in it, he is the God of mischief after all, so that was good, plus don't know if anyone else noticed the big about the plane hijack/robbery and how he disappeared, based on real events, the body of that hijacker was never found (or so I understand), so it was Loki all along! Very clever.
And yes, as mentioned above the way they explained what was happening was clever and fun, like the screens you get on rides at Disney telling you about it.
Looking forward to the rest now.

It was funny seeing how powerful that the TVA actually are that they had infinity stones lying around in a desk and used them as paperweights.
10 odd years of using them as an arc to build up a story, and made meaningless in 5 seconds.
It would be great if we get to see who these 3 time keepers are but I don't think we will.

I actually prefer the weekly release.
It makes threads like this work as everyone is seeing the story unfold at the same time and we can discuss it between episodes.
Absolutely, definitely more of an event when it's done like this. Especially as it's day and date international too, certainly makes it easier listening to my regular Movie/TV podcasts from the US as well!It makes threads like this work as everyone is seeing the story unfold at the same time and we can discuss it between episodes.
Stranger Things (for example) is huge but it's come and gone within a week or two and nobody is ever at the same point.
