As Eric mentioned in an earlier post re 2001, watching the original version of Solaris on the big screen was a moment of epiphany for me. Must get round to watching the remake sometime.

Fritz Langs 'Metropolis' remarkable for a near 100 year old film. Surprisingly prophetic too.

Saw it in the cinema a few months ago: they released it with the restored footage. Stunning just doesn't cover it. One of the best films I have ever seen. Incredible.
