Some of the deaths in Ep6 seemed a bit gratuitous to me, particularly
Don the blackmailer and Dmitri Milos. Lorne could have proceeded with his plan without killing off these two harmless simpletons.
ETA - assuming he had anything to do with the raining fish, which he may not have done.

What's with the fish?
Part of the plagues/wrath of god Malvo was setting up? Probably triggered to drop from above by another trip wire the car drove through.Disappointed Mr Wrench got taken out. Hitmen should be better equipped for that.
Lester is one cold mofo now. I see him killing Malvo at the end now.

I know this was based on a true story but it all seems so far fetched. It's a good watch but I can't help but think it's all be massively exaggerated.
That's because it's not based on a true story, it's a joke on the all the "based on a true story" films/tv that have been made.castex said:

Psst!This never actually happened
The "true story" bit is an homage to the movie that also had that message at the beginning.
I remember in an interview, when the film was first released, that the Cohens said the movie was fiction therefore nothing within was true. Of course that would include statements that the story was true.

Right at the end of the finishing credits to the film they have a legal disclaimer saying "This film is fictional" I remember in an interview, when the film was first released, that the Cohens said the movie was fiction therefore nothing within was true. Of course that would include statements that the story was true.
