The Classic Car Show - Channel 5
Discussion
When I saw this show was being presented by Quentin Wilson and Jodie Kidd I feared the worst.
But I was wrong
.OK,JK is not a presenter,Why She Has To Emphasise Every Word I don't know,acting school maybe ?
Yet that was my only gripe. It kept my interest to the end, although the Ferrari section was a bit dull.

Just watching it now.
Channel 5 (Demand 5)
Jodie seems to be trying too hard and just needs to relax a little. But otherwise it's a big thumbs up for me!![clap](/inc/images/clap.gif)

Really loved the TR7 feature. Liked them as a kid. Still remember seeing them in the 80s. In fact I still have a yellow matchbox one in the attic (along with a red Matra Rancho - I would love to see featured on the show)
My Matra Rancho was my favourite toy car when I was a kid. I am watching the show now (on Sky+) and I agree with others, good program, good content, the studio bits with JK and QW are horrible.
Reminded me a lot of the Motorcycle Show - you have to put aside your expectations of slickness, wind your metabolism back to the 1970s (or even earlier for this show), forget Top Gear evolved into what it is today, and just watch it with the pleasant knowledge that this program is mostly being made because someone cares enough about the content to make it, and sell it (whisper: even if it's not really very good).
It's been too long since Quentin's been on my telly (even if the vampire/Dorian Gray suggestions are a little too accurate!) - he knows his eggs; and Jodie, from all I've seen of her on TG etc is, simply, a pure petrolhead. And also not, as Guy Martin might say, hard to look at![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
More niche programming for engines and wheels, I say. And let it be made for love, not money. Or awards. Or casual viewers.
