My wife has booked us tickets to go and see this at possibly the best cinema in the world (I’m biased) The Regal in Evesham
All very civilised, you can stretch your legs out and people can still walk by, the seat rake is so great that even if an eight foot tall person with a top hat on sat in front of you you would still be able to see.
You can pre order hot food(Pizza, nachos etc)and drinks which are delivered to the table by your seat and if you fancy another Peroni during the performance you just text. The seats are fantastically comfortable and come as standard with cushions. Dual seats (cuddle seats) are available.
A member of staff stands up on the stage prior to the film commencing to thank everyone for coming and to introduce the performance.
And I’m really looking forward to the film!
Quite frankly it doesn’t matter how good the It is because the whole experience is so brilliant
Sounds great. A proper Kinema. I'd like to think the manager introduced the film, resplendent in dinner suit and black tie.All very civilised, you can stretch your legs out and people can still walk by, the seat rake is so great that even if an eight foot tall person with a top hat on sat in front of you you would still be able to see.

Used to be like that back in the day. Even at kids' matinees.
Off to see it shortly.
Did see this on 1965 after seeing some of the documentaries linked above

Great race. One of the sport's enduring mysteries too - the Ed Hugus saga. It's almost certainly a myth, but it's a good one.Did see this on 1965 after seeing some of the documentaries linked above

Rindt and Gregory were p*ssed-off at being given an old nail for the race and decided to race flat-out hoping to blow the engine. It survived and they won.
It'd actually make a good movie, but nobody would believe it.

A great film. I don’t know how accurate it is but it was a thoroughly entertaining 2 hours
+1, just got home from it and really enjoyed it (despite a few too many bits of the usual hollywood driving where the driver can always grab another gear or push the accelerator down further despite being flat out already)cuprabob said:

In my cinema in Kilmarnock, I got upgraded to premium because I was the only one closing the front doors on a cold day...
Coincidentally that was the cinema I saw this film in today ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I saw it with some racing buddies.
The only issue with racing films is they always show the scene of just pres the throttle harder and drop a gear and you'll go faster/ win. Makes it difficult when talking to non car people about racing.
Thoroughly enjoyed that, shelled out a whopping £4.70 (over my free Unlimited card) to watch in 4DX as it was the only viewing time that worked for me.
First 4DX experience and it was quite fun, seat rocking about on the corners, had water switched to on but no sweat or oil was chucked at me.
solid 8/10, points dropped for the 8 speed gearbox in the Ford![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)

saw it last night, well worth going certainly the best racing film for a few years and the story will appeal to non racing fans. Pity the last think before the credits says it was the only american built car to ever win le mans, especially as in the film they show and talk about the car being unloaded from a flight from the uk where they were built.

The Mark 2 that won in 1966 was certainly developed from the GT40 in the US. American built - dubious. The 1967 Mark IV can claim to have been entirely American. The 1968 and 1969 winner (it was the same car both years) was run by John Wyer's UK team using UK built GT40s.gt6 said:

I was going to ask, did we see much of the Slough Trading Estate in the film? Sounds like it's worth a look either way.
