As above, if you go truly chronological you're getting a bit out of shape with end credit scenes etc. I think people are clever enough to do a bit of mental time shifting by watching them as released, after all that's how millions of us did it.

Thinking about it, what's the most efficient way through to Endgame from scratch? I'm thinking:

Avengers
Guardians of the Galaxy
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Captain America: Civil War
Avengers: Infinity War

That's how my wife has done it. Clearly there are some knowledge gaps (i.e quantum realm) , but nothing 10 minutes on Wikipedia won't fix. I think you're only really missing out on an intro to Dr Strange from that lot (which is the only MCU film I've not seen and I'm doing just fine).

My wife hasn't seen all of them either. She's not a massive fan, but she can follow the story just fine with these.

No idea what order she watched them in, but most probably just in release order.

Iron Man
Captain America 1,2,3
Avengers 1+2
Guardians of the Galaxy 1+2
Ant Man 1,2
Dr Strange
Black Panther
Spiderman
Thor 1 & 3
Avengers: Infinity War

We're gonna watch captain marvel soon smile

I’d make sure you watch Thor: Ragnarok and Ant Man 1&2. They both have a direct link to either characters or plot lines that are going to be very useful in Endgame.

Black Panther doesn't offer anything that you're not getting from Civil War in my opinion, at least in terms of enough of the character to have a clue what's going on. I guess Wakanda itself would be useful to know more about for Infinity War, but it's not critical.

Ditto Ant Man and the Wasp, it looks like the quantum realm stuff is going to be useful to know, but I'd be amazed if there isn't an exposition dump in Endgame to bring people up to speed on that, as nowhere near as many people have sene that film compared to Infinity War.

The INfinity Stones are layered throug the whole of the 21 film macguffinery. But as Endgame lite atching, I like

Avengers
Guardians of the Galaxy 1&2
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Captain America: Civil War
Thor: Ragnarok
Avengers: Infinity War

maybe ANt-Man and the Wasp since there's so much on quantum stuff....and it is a rather cool lil film, and revels there was a goliath as well as an ANt-Man way back when.

I've only seen antman/wasp once, I enjoyed it but I've got a feeling it was underated (if that makes sense), want to watch it again before endgame.

It's a nice lil story, like both AM films have been, yeah it's got a cosmic/quantum macguffin, but the scope is small, like a HItchcock film. I just like Paul Rudd, his performance is a nice counterpoint to others, he's an everyman who has fallen into becoming a superhero, pretty cool! PLus I love Evanlina Lily! I'd hope that there is a nice third film to pay off this trilogy, it'd be a shame if there wasn't, the first two have made money since they're small films, so there is no real reason why there shouldn't be.

Reading through last couple of pages, and potential outcomes, and saviours, giving me goosebumps thinking about what they've been through.

Think I need to watch Ragnorok again before Endgame, amongst others.

I think that's a good call as THor3 is one of the few films that directly segues into another film.
I'm a theory nut. When I watched Cap 1 when it was repeated on telly a couple years ago, I saw what happened to Red Skull in a new light, and predicted that he'd appear in IW ( a year before it came out). I'd have to rewatch Ragnarok, but there are so many theories about utilising big hitters for THanos.

Does that matter? All the end credit scenes do is give you an appetiser for what's to come - if you watched just the films in the order listed previously surely it renders all those end scenes null and void with you missing nothing through not watching them?

I was intending watching just the films with no end credit scenes in the order listed previously.

I think I will watch AM2 again before Endgame, I was a little distracted the first time I saw it. Good movie.

The correct order is :

Captain America: The First Avenger (1943 - 1945)
Captain Marvel (1995)
Iron Man (2010)
Iron Man 2 (2011)
The Incredible Hulk (2011)
Thor (2011)
Avengers (2012)
Iron Man 3 (2012)
Agents of Shield (season one: episodes 1 — 7)
Thor: The Dark World (2013)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Agents of Shield (season one: episodes 17 — 22)
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2014)
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Ant-Man (2015)
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2016)
Doctor Strange (2016 - 2017)
Black Panther (2017)
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Ant-Man and The Wasp (2017)
Avengers Infinity War (2017)
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
I believe Black Panther should come in at the same time as Captain America: Civil War as T'Challa made an appearance and Bucky Barnes/The Winter Solider is taken to Wakanda at the end of the film.

I bought out tickets Tuesday night for opening Thursday. Local Cinema has sold out all screenings for Thursday. Similar reports elsewhere. I doubt tickets will be available at many cinemas for a sensible viewing time on ole ing weekend.

Don’t recall cinema selling out ever before

Not sure if anyone is buying (probably not), but in the US some people are asking ludicrous money

if anything is important about not being spoiled, it's this...what's the weekend gonna be? 300 million?
Not wholly sure, but aren't they opening on all screens? Should be enough space

I can't believe that anyone would pay a penny over face value for a cinema ticket.

I wouldn’t have considered pre buying tickets for any other film. It seems now that if you just go to your local cinema on opening night, the Friday and possibly the weekend, tickets are scarce unless early in the morning or late at night. This film is going to earn enormous coin.
