What an odd choice.

Perhaps trying to make Bond more hip and appeal to teenagers? (I think young kids are still interested).
Yes, she's quirky and left field. And current. Her latest album is in the top ten of 'Albums of 2019' in all music magazines.

And the winner is... Billie Eilish https://variety.com/2020/film/news/billie-eilish-j...

Not 100% confirmed yet, but she has posted that she's doing it on her Instagram account along with a 007 logo.

Oh well, it couldn’t possibly be worse than the last theme song.
It's certainly hard to imagine a worse song than that steaming pile of ste that was the Spectre theme song. How quickly the quality fell from Chris Cornell's sublime 'You Know My Name'.

I just hope they keep to the stripped-back no-gadgets theme started by Casino Royale.

Great choice IMO. She's a modern artist who actually has some singing talent and isn't an overrated gimmick. Listen to her track 'I Love You' to hear what she is capable of.

The fact that my 12 year-old daughter was delighted to hear Billie Eilish had got the gig tells me the producers have got one thing right. Now just give her a decent song.

PS. Grateful it isn't Ed Sheeren!

PPS. Just discovered Billie is the daughter of Maggie Baird so there is some pedigree there.

I rather think that went out with the DB10.

She’s a bit odd, but having had a listen to a bit of her stuff it’ll probably work.
This has a feint whiff of Bond about it...(ignore the nonsense video)....

Ah yes. Bad Guy. If you haven't heard that before now then you've been living in a cave somewhere. The instrumental break from it is even being used in the BT ads.

Spooky! Haven't heard it but I saw the video (sound turned off) in a pizzeria in Italy last July, although I don't remember the nosebleed bit, just her jumping around beside some motionless bloke.

Not bloody likely, Bond is oh-oh-seven, not uh-oh-uh-oh-seven.

Indeed - 'secret' agent gets a prototype car no-one has ever seen so he's not noticed... instead of a Prius or Corolla. Spectre certainly seemed to be heading back to tragic-gadget territory.

Breaking Bond News.
First draft of new Bond Song;

It's time for me to live
and it's no time to die
I'm totally fed up
with being a spy
Got to get back
to being a guy
who shops in Asda
and refuses to fly
It's my time to live
and no time to die.

(Subject to change).

It's cold and dark in here but I thought I heard a sound further down the other day, must be you.

She’s a songwriter as well, so most likely she’ll write the song along with her brother who will also produce it.

Sorry, but that deserved less than two hours before being acknowledged.

I can't take it seriously since my (at the time) 5-year-old daughter misinterpreted the lyrics as "Let the Skyfall, apple crumble....".

Completely unrelated, but a friend's kid heard "Somebody That I Used To Know" and immediately called it the "Baa Baa Blacksheep Song". smile
