Would the accident affect the price that much, considering it was inspected by McLaren again once the repairs were done. And it didn't affect the price of Rowan Atkinsons F1, although granted they are very different cars...
I don't think Tim's Senna not selling is anything against that particular car either. It has to be one of the most tastefully specced Sennas out there, and despite the accident you know it's been fastidiously maintained.
F1s come onto the open market once in a blue moon, which makes it a seller's market. There were no other non-story F1s for sale at the same time to say whether its accident history affected the price or not.I don't think Tim's Senna not selling is anything against that particular car either. There are currently more than a dozen Sennas for sale in Europe. If you were in the market for something like that, what would make you buy the one with known accident history, however slight and well repaired, if not a favourable price? Some people simply won't buy one with any adverse stories in its history.

Tim Shmee150 has dropped the price of his McLaren Senna below £700k.
I think he's struggling to move it.
Specialist car, increased cost of finance. Plus...everyone knows it has been involved in an accident. I think he's struggling to move it.

That should be listed under known flaws along with hole drilled in tub.
Updated link above
Murcielago doesn't have a tub. It's a tubular steel spaceframe with composite floor, tunnel and bulkhead panels glued and rivetted on, just like a kit car. The hole won't make any difference to the structure.Updated link above
Anyway, the advert is very clear about the car's ownership history, and anyone looking to buy it can and should just go and watch all the relevant videos on his channel.
Edit - the hole in the tunnel is actually listed in the advert as a modification.

It’s a sub £500k car for me. I’m sure he would take it back (like the STO) than sell it for that though. I think he's struggling to move it.

Didn't a Senna go for quite a bit less than £700k on Collecting Cars?
3x RHD sold in 2021 for £524-£605k. One in 2022 for £705khttps://collectingcars.com/buy/?query=mclaren%20se...
I suspect everyone who wanted a senna already has or had one, there are several cars on at 700 to 800k with delivery mileage vs a 4000 Mile car which is moon miles for a hypercar and had a smack however well repaired means its only going to sell very cheap to someone who wants a track w
e to abuse.
500k tops I would say, if there were any sort of demand for these there wouldn't be delivery mile cars on autotrader and anyone with 700k to spend is more likely to dig in for another 50 to get a garage queen.
I think he will be stuck with it.

The whole ‘it’s had a crash’ thing is so stupid. I guarantee half the Sennas with actual miles have had some crash damage, they just haven’t had it plastered all over the internet. It’s a simple crash repair, it’s not recorded on the Cat system, so it’s irrelevant.
Spec is what’s important. The earlier poster has it nailed - it’s down to the fact that the Senna is a stupid car.

I’d wager that is wildly inaccurate.
I know of four uk cars with over 5000 miles that have all had some damage either on track or road. Broken splitter, damaged wheel, rear diffuser, etcThomW said:

If you want a Senna one that has been driven and used is the best type to get, unless you are just going to store it, Tim should be tracking it more like James on a proper McLaren track-day. ![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

I know James is hated here, but this is a pretty decent video imo

I (and most people) wouldn’t class any of those as ‘crash damage’
But by that metric neither was Tim's car crashed either. It got lightly scraped down the rear quarter and I (and most people) wouldn't class that as 'having been crashed'
