You could have fooled me, she got the refs calls wrong a few times, maybe womens rugby have different rules?
Maybe if you'd read the Ladybird book of rugby you would know that rugby union doesn't have 'rules' it has 'laws'.

Mills and Chappers used to be very funny back in the day on R1. Maybe they can get back together on R2?

Good grief-these three are everything that is wrong with radio 2 on a Saturday!!!
They just chat nonsense-continually!!
Remember Jonathon Ross on a Saturday morning-brilliant!!
Then in the afternoon we had Roland Rivron’s “jamming” slot-that was good radio

Must be a generation thing, Alan Carr and that Ryland bloke just spout inane drivel on the radio and I have no idea who Mellione is... If I'm washing a car or something on a Saturday morning I want music so I'll put Absolute or Virgin on the garage radio.

Yes, such a class act. Remember the way he and that other oxygen thief, Russell Brand, publicly humiliated Andrew Sachs? So much better than anything Alan Carr and Melanie Sykes have done.

Scott Mills R1 show is pretty much the only radio I listen to anymore, on demand, as I no longer commute etc and live abroad.

It’s a solid show, and they have a good mix of features that they run for short periods.

Even at his very worst, JR is streets ahead of that braying fool Carr. As and31 said, the Saturday morning program was fantastic.

Huey is a class act on 6-Music on Saturdays and Liza Tarbuck is always good value.

So you think that what he and Brand did to Andrew Sachs was acceptable then?

Poor Scott sounded REALLY bored over the entire show yesterday. Without Chris Stark he seems a bit lost. frown

Yes. Only a Daily Mail reader could get excited about it.

Words fail me! So presumably you would also find it acceptable if it were an old person that you were close to that was publicly humiliated so badly by them?

You really don't appear to be a very nice person do you?

Have to admit I dont normally listen to Radio 2, but was working recently in a place where thankfully I found it was on all day.

I say thankfully until subjected to it.

I don't remember the repetition, the same 10 or so songs repeated 3 or 4 times a day, once on each show. I loath Steve Wright, always have, still a R1 DJ after all these years, show is about him not the listeners, no interaction with them. Ken is Ken, inoffensive and merely there, Ball, just sounds like a kids tv presenter still. But I was also subjected to VCox in the evening too, she was woeful, so try hard.

Wogan, Mayo, I actually didn't mind Vine, but again all so carefully scripted, none of the derring do of older days.

I am still so thankful I grew up with Wog, we will never see his like again on prime time radio. Irreplaceable.

Sadly it left me thinking R2 is now just as commercial in many ways as others, and that is a shame. I switched to Abolsute and even put up the adverts.

This. So much this.

And then if that wasn't bad enough, he's followed by Liza bloody Tarbuck, who makes me want to switch off my radio by punching through its grille and ripping the speaker out. It's made even worse by the fact that she replaced the superb Richard Allinson.

It's funny but I was always sure that my Radio 1 listening days were over when Chris Moyles left, but Radio 2 has gone so far downhill that I now find myself tuning into Greg James in the morning and MistaJam on Saturday afternoon. I quite like Jordan North and Matt & Mollie, too...
