This. So much this.
And then if that wasn't bad enough, he's followed by Liza bloody Tarbuck, who makes me want to switch off my radio by punching through its grille and ripping the speaker out. It's made even worse by the fact that she replaced the superb Richard Allinson.
It's funny but I was always sure that my Radio 1 listening days were over when Chris Moyles left, but Radio 2 has gone so far downhill that I now find myself tuning into Greg James in the morning and MistaJam on Saturday afternoon. I quite like Jordan North and Matt & Mollie, too...
I like Richard Allinson too. He's on Magic at drivetime. There's nothing remarkable about him, but he's very listenable. And then if that wasn't bad enough, he's followed by Liza bloody Tarbuck, who makes me want to switch off my radio by punching through its grille and ripping the speaker out. Remember Jonathon Ross on a Saturday morning-brilliant!!
Yes, such a class act. Remember the way he and that other oxygen thief, Russell Brand, publicly humiliated Andrew Sachs? So much better than anything Alan Carr and Melanie Sykes have done. You really don't appear to be a very nice person do you?
you really don't appear to have anything approaching a sense of humor do you?

Shock, horror comedians make jokes about people!
I don't remember any any jokes. Care to repeat the more funny ones they told? ![confused](/inc/images/confused.gif)
On 25 October 2008, the BBC apologised to Sachs and his agent after they had been informed that comedian Russell Brand and presenter Jonathan Ross had made several obscene phone calls to Sachs during an episode of The Russell Brand Show recorded on 16 October and broadcast two days later, on which Sachs had agreed to appear. Both presenters had left explicit messages on Sachs's telephone answering machine stating that Brand had had sex with his granddaughter, Georgina Baillie.
Gordon Brown, the then Prime Minister, criticised Ross and Brand's actions, saying that it was "clearly inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour", and the television watchdog, Ofcom, launched an inquiry into the matter. Afterwards, Brand and Controller of Radio 2 Lesley Douglas resigned, with Ross soon suspended. In February 2014, Sachs was interviewed by the BBC about his autobiography. He spoke of how the scandal still affected him
Not really sure how something that generates this reaction and course of events could be defined as comedy or funny. It was widely documented at the time about the near mental breakdown that Andrew Sachs suffered from this 'funny' prank.

Taken from Wikepedia: <they> ... left explicit messages on Sachs's telephone answering machine stating that Brand had had sex with his granddaughter, Georgina Baillie...
Oh okay, so not exactly hilarious, not even a joke so basically crude and brain dead. About you'd expect from Brand who is a complete egotistical knob, but I used to quite enjoy Jonathan Ross. soxboy said:
Enjoying listening to Scott Mills in place of Steve ‘lovetheshow’ Wright. Wonder if the BBC are realising how much they waste on him and his ‘posse’?
I may be biased as the two wonder years I’ve heard him play are 1990 and 1992.
You’re biased, as was his playlist, just ‘dance’ music. A bit shameless IMO!I may be biased as the two wonder years I’ve heard him play are 1990 and 1992.
Otherwise, I didn’t mind his presenting.

I thought I would enjoy Scott but I'm finding him quite dull and boring and not really showing any enthusiasm for what he is playing. I prefer it when Craig Charles sits in for Wrighty. Good music and good humour.I may be biased as the two wonder years I’ve heard him play are 1990 and 1992.
Craig Charles is good in any slot.
Wright is a f
king useless
and the sooner he goes the better, but in the metric of Vine vs Wright it's quite hard to find a 'winner'. If love-the-show-creep-Wright got sacked on a Monday, and Daily-Mail-sanctimonious-slimeball-Vine got sacked on Tuesday, I'd be off my head on champagne by Wednesday.

How do we get steve Wright out?
Seriously-he needs to go ffs.public broadcaster needs to let the public decide
Commented on this previously....... I suspect that the BBC would have binned Steve Wright years ago.... but haven’t because he would be a massive suicide risk. Either that, or he’s got some serious sHow do we get steve Wright out?

Having been on furlough for the last 5 mths, I have reached the conclusion that apart from Ken Bruce, Radio 2 is crap these days.
Switched to Virgin now
It really does reflect badly on Radio 2 that Ken Bruce seems to be so highly rated. He seems a nice bloke, and I think almost everyone enjoys 'Popmaster', but he's hardly someone dripping with talent. Seems he's more like an acceptable offering surrounded by intolerable crap.Switched to Virgin now
