I re-watched November 13: Attack on Paris and it was as outstanding as I remember, a must watch.

The absolute balls of the policemen who went through the door in the Bataclan at the very end of the whole thing, their ballistic shield took 27 AK47 rounds from ~5m. Hard to imagine what that must have felt like.

Still unbelievable to think nobody other than the terrorists were killed in that small corridor crammed with people.
Yes that was outstanding and awful in equal measure. Brilliantly done.

Not seen this, sounds worth seeing.

That tt that fked up all the new Poirot films?

Hmm.
I'm glad I'm not alone in this viewpoint! MotOE was passable (at best), however, DotN was execrable and just rammed home how much better Ustinov was (to be fair Ustinov must be a toughie to surpass!). Not sure I'll bother with the latest effort frown
The latest Poirot film is dire so I would avoid it

I am not normally one to say films shouldn't be made but I suspect it may be putting others off making better Poirot films

Are new ones required?

The TV show did a reasonably good job at most and you have the Ustinov films for a few more cinematic takes.

6 episodes into watching Bodies and overall i'm impressed. I feel it could have been a 6-parter, there was a lot of dead space in the first 6.

And once again they use a big actor like Stephen Graham in the trailer, posters etc and they're barely in it (remember Martin Compton in the submarine one? Died in the first episode rofl )

But overall I'm liking it, interesting storyline, very well told acrioss the different timelines. Looking forward to how it plays out.

Likewise, incredibly sad but the way they articulated the emotions of what happened to them was a astonishing, total respect to them for the way they handled themselves.

There was a real gut-punch moment when Marie, who had been fairly humorous for a lot of her interview, started to completely break down when describing how she'd accidentally viewed 'the pile' when being escorted out by the police. Very grim.

When I was in Paris, I went to the Bataclan area and felt a really heavy atmosphere around it. It was horrible situation and as you say the police did well at the end- but when you look at how long it took for them to intervene... it was hours. If you haven't watched it, you must.

Finally getting around to watching Better call Saul for the first time; tried to watch it when I finished Breaking Bad but couldn't make the adjustment but now that has been a few years, I'm very much enjoying BCS. I've been really impressed with Odenkirk's acting; he was always the comic relief in BB and although BCS is still very funny in places, he does some impressive heavy lifting with dramatic scenes when need be. Just getting to the end of S2 now.

Definitely, but, there parts do drag, just work your way through them, it’s worth it. smile

I’ve watched it twice, wouldn’t dream of doing that with BB…
