I bet it’s fine with a 6BT in it.

Yes. It had a 6BT, modern gearbox, diff, brakes and air suspension from a >7.5t truck . Fast enough as these old buses are just an ash frame with an aluminium body. I was interested as someone else had done the hard yards. As you can see from this photo the main limitation was the width of a car without folding the mirrors.

There's no obvious tie downs for the car in there so in the event of a hard stop one would have a Stingray smashing through the cab from behind.

There are 4x tie downs I can see, and you'd likely hook ratchet straps under the frame the tread plate is on to tie the wheels down.

As I was watching that, I was feeling awkward on Harry's behalf -- he was definitely having to work harder as Stef isn't the natural showman! However, as the video went on and Stef warmed up to the aroma of yet another heavy carb based lunch, so did his demeanour!

.
He didn’t look or seem comfortable infront of camera but that’s just normal as he is a mechanic not a YouTuber or influencer.

The same as Iain Tyrell isn’t, personally I find his videos much harder to watch, whereas the Fiat one didn’t really concern me at all as I was more interested in knowing about the car.

Like all of these independent small garages I’m always amazed how they cram cars in on the forecourt and inside the garages, on google earth it is completely rammed with cars outside.
This Fiat garage featured in an episode of Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars when Stef rebuilt and tuned the engine on a Fiat 500 they were restoring. They didn't offer them a pasta lunch, at least not on camera.

I still can't bring myself to like its styling. And it isn't just the straight lines and angles - I'm ok with a Countach. It is no doubt art, but unfortunately art that I can't appreciate.

I don’t think red suits the styling, a nice light metallic looks a lot better.

I agree, it's an ungainly looking thing, not even a good example of the wedge or straight-edge design idea...

A little, but I suspect they hinted at it when factory fresh - no point wasting power overcoming excessive scraper ring friction :-) .

Doesn't do anything for me. Not a fan of flat plane V8's that sound like 4's.

What is the Dino thing, were they made by someone other than Ferrari such as Fiat ?

Yep, I don't like most Ferrari V8s. They're just loud noise to me. Don't get me wrong, almost always nicer than a 4 pot, but even an old AMG or M car sound nicer to my ears.

Dino was Enzo's son who pushed for V6 engines to be raced and ultimately powered the 246. He tragically died young of muscular dystrophy.

All previous road cars from Ferrari had been V12's and the Dino marque was meant to be separate from Ferrari. Most owners however bought the Ferrari script and Prancing Horse and added them to the Dino road cars.

Rosso corsa is a pretty bad colour on most cars. Very few can pull it off. Most Ferrari road cars look better in any other colour.
