Darth Maul was the st though, he shone like a diamond in a goats arse in that film.
Couldn't have said it better myself, the prequels were mostly sh*t, Darth Maul was a badass. They should have kept him on for at least one more film rather then squandering him needlessly. It left a massive whole in the other 2 films IMO not having a credible threat for the Jedi to square off against (Geriatrics waving around light-sabres like walking sticks don't count). What I would have liked is Anakin squaring off and killing Maul with Palps watching maybe at the end of the second or beginning of the third film. Palps rewards him for "killing" off the Sith threat knowing full well Anakin is well on the path to being Maul's replacement. Sort of like a mirror of the Luke Vs Vader face-off in ROTJ. Would have made a much better turning point then facing off against Mace "muthafukka" Jackson whose inclusion in the series was ill advised IMO.
I hate all this 'keep it quiet' bks though.
Cannot get a straight answer about when tickets go on sale, so it will be the usual, appears suddenly, sold out in 2 mins online and heaps of us none the wiser.
Why cant they tell people tickets go on sale on X day. Its not as if we can buy them early.
Cinema need to learn from computer game industry to set dates and build hype, not panic last minute information.

It's all part of the hype machine, studio says nothing, let a few 'rumors' leak out, the internet goes wild with it.Cannot get a straight answer about when tickets go on sale, so it will be the usual, appears suddenly, sold out in 2 mins online and heaps of us none the wiser.

Computer Games are much, much worse.

No Luke on the new poster. Can the new Sith be Luke
Well, it wouldn't be the first time Luke has turned to the Dark Side. Well, apart from the fact that the Expanded Universe is no longer canon in which case Luke has never turned to the Dark Side. J4CKO said:
That poster is very evocative, normally dont notice them but that is very nice, getting close now.
The poster is very much of the style of the original by Greg & Tim Hildebrandt Zod said:
Darth Vader was on the original poster. Darth Maul was on the Phantom Menace, so no.
That makes no sense. You're saying that Luke's absence from the poster couldn't possibly mean that he's the bad guy Sith Lord in the top left of the poster, because Darth Vader and Darth Maul appeared in the previous posters? Huhhhhh??? Teasers of the new trailer tomorrow!
Getting a little ridiculous - teasers for a trailer......

I know this is super geeky (even for a Star Wars thread). But when the treaser came out it was noted that when the dude with the big light sabre with the 'side bits' (top left) fired up his sabre it made the same sound as Luke's.
Just saying.
They pretty much do all make the same sound.Just saying.
But seeing as Kylo Ren has already been seen without the mask in photos and his character backstory has been officially revealed (at least some of it) we can say your theory is probably off
Luke has been seen in the first trailer anyway.... R2D2 in a cave, robed man puts a mechanical hand on the side of his dome. oooh.... wonder which character has one mechanical hand? (There has also been leaked set photos of a bearded Luke in Jedi robes online)
One of the early leaked plot rumours was....
The girl in the lead role is a scraper and finds a lightsaber. This lightsaber is a legendary weapon that appears to belong to the legendary 'last Jedi' who hasn't been seen since the fall of the Emperor at Endor. The fact that nobody knows anything about him apart from stories and legends means that he is now considered by many as nothing more than a myth. So scraper girl and stormtrooper bloke go on a quest to find the truth behind the myth and return the lightsaber, along the way discovering that they are actually related to the Jedi in question. And also discovering that the 'Knights of Ren' are maybe even more dangerous than the Emperor ever was.
If this is slightly right then that will be the reason Luke is not in the main poster. He will be a bit part in this movie, and a key character in the next. Maybe not even being revealed until the very end?
Which seems to be tying up with what little we have seen and been hinted at so far.
Apparently tonight's trailer will be a 'full' trailer giving more hints on the actual story so maybe we will finally know more.
Luke is not gonna be a dark Jedi. Only a completely fking retarded moron would take the series greatest hero and rubbish it...and George isn't in control of this. Someone with sense (on past work) is. It would be as stupid as taking Optimus Prime and killing him in the first ten minutes...
After the huge uesless stfest of the prequels I actually didn't care about this film. Star Wars with it's poor film, it's ridiculous canon issues over the books (some of which are ste) films/updated films had pretty much turned me away from the franchise. I was a big fan in the 80s and 90s, I was a member of the Star Wars fan club, we got cool stuff in the post!! But my annoying friend has been harping on about it and now I'm up early just to buy the stupid tickets...am slowly getting the hype...but I still think I'm gonna be disappointed.
