Prometheus 2 Now Confirmed
http://io9.com/5931023/prometheus-2-is-moving-forw...
In a nutshell, the Hollywood Reporter publication says:
Fox confirms to THR that Scott and the studio actively are pushing ahead with a follow-up (stars Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are signed) and are talking to new writers because Prometheus co-scribe Damon Lindelof might not be available. "Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can't rush it," says Fox president of production Emma Watts, who also has overseen the successful reboots of the X-Men and Planet of the Apes franchises. A Prometheus sequel would be released in 2014 or 2015.

I haven't seen the film yet but have found this, so not really sure if it relates to the film or not as shown in the title. The first couple of minutes or so are pretty unwatchable really due to over lapping, but even so I found the whole documentary in it's own right ( although long winded at times ) interesting anyway.
It's three 1hr segments lumped into one video and shows some excellent evidence for the theory.

I appreciate that chap, but what was the video about fella?
Cheers.
Monuments on earth created in 2500BC map star formations last seen in 10,000BC. Records of these formations have been kept all that time, as it 'can not be a coincidence.' Cheers.
Lots of the sites of these monuments are in a sequence across the planet which could have only occured if someone or something had the power to survey the world and put these installations in the 'correct' place.
And that's when I gave up. Lots of "I believe" and "can not be coincidence" but I'll admit I didn't listen to the entire thing. Docu feels about 25 odd years old, tho'.

The surrounding topography of the 2 crashed ships is entirely different.
I assumed that was because it was many years later?I think people are just looking for some kinda conspiracy theory here.

Seems like Empire's verdict matches the majority of the people on this thread.
Yes yes, but can we please keep talking about it, my thread has nearly hit 100 pages ...but fk knows how.
Anyway, I'm expecting my blu-ray copy in the post tomorrow at which point I'll give it another go and see if it changes my initial opinion in any way.
Love it or hate it, the controversy it provokes (I believe) makes it a must for any sci-fi fans collection. Look, if you bought Aliens 4 you'll buy this. Those underwater CGI swimming Aliens were the worst abomination ever perpetrated on this franchise...this at least has sumptious visuals.

So did I.
And I hated that part.
I mean, what does that mean? Is that critter supposed to be the first Alien??
If yes, weren't there Aliens with the mayans and the like (AvP)?
Wasn't Predator 2 set in "current day" or the near future? (the Predator had an Alien "skull" on his trophy wall).
AvP and Prometheus are set in ENTIRELY different universes. Ridley does not associate his storyline with anything other than his original Alien film.
