A very similar programs, well made, and 2 good cases on the opening episode.

I think the camera teams spend a period of time with the police team and its just luck (as such) if a job comes in. There wont be a boss in the police thinking 'ah a murder has come in, lets phone channel 5'

This. That's why some of the 24hr episodes aren't as good as others. Basically thet've allocated an expesive prodution team to film the program, so they have to film something.
