Loved the French chap's "Explanation" of his miracle calorie-burning pills
Well, I'm convinced.
I was going to have another whiskey but instead I'm cracking open the Sarsons . I might blow up a few balloons as well.Well, I'm convinced.
Liking the exposure of the bullst, the short-term shysters and the obsession with a weight figure rather than what's right for a host of reasons, but at the same time, it is sailing slightly close to giving out some wrong messages to a lot of people. Also think there's an element of convenient avoidance of personal responsibility.
Exercise next week - Will less than wonderful personal trainers and some of the other less savoury aspects of the fitness side of the world get a kicking, or just big food business again (looking at Sky guide description)?
He might want to look at TV like Biggest Loser as well, but a betting man says that's not likely.

I did watch at the time, but can't claim to remember much of the detail.
I re-watched the second half of the first ep, since it was on.Personal responsibility is touched upon by the scientists/owners (I forget the names of those talking). The last chap (an old fella) goes on about how it's not amazing that there are so many fat people, but it's amazing how there are so many normal (old size normal/thin) people considering how our current diet is arranged.
Though I reckon it'd be a good bet (if things don't change) that in 5-10 years, fatties will be the majority, and thinnies will be a small minority. Those whose genetics are especially resilient to our eating trends. And those who are educated enough to understand how st the Western diet is.
Have you read this: click here? Seems interesting, just started reading it now...
I haven't.
I just started reading the leangains guys website, plus this one.

Gonna try and do the 16/8 thing combined with a set ratio of carbs/fat/protein...and see where it takes me....I've been on a sugar rush for a month now, and the difference is obvious.

Can't believe that anyone gives any credence to something by an actor that involves balloons, hiding scales and so on. Thought there should have been far more of a kicking for guff like that. The ever so slightly camp bloke with comedy perm is a genius by comparison.
All keeps ringing the same bells in my head (and I guess that is also backed up by own experience) - Your average person doesn't need anything horribly complicated and doesn't need to flog themselves in the gym, they need an achievable level of easy to follow but meaningful exercise, a diet that's a lifestyle change rather than a 'diet' and a decent bit of commitment.
However, never going to happen, I guess, and unlikely to be a big message here.
Oh, and people are stupid - seeing various lost souls at the moment doing some kind of steps per day challenge, while doing things like eating cheese on toast for breakfast, speaks volumes.
