Let's hope it was built better than his previous house, which required re-cladding only 2 years after construction.
I'd forgotten that - despite the fact that it was probably the most interesting point in the whole programme.

As for the new house, the same thing 2/3 the size but with the money saved put towards getting a location with a really good view would be amazing.

Yep! Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Once again there will be no pregnancies in the building of this house.

A tad autistic, or all the drugs from his earlier days?

I guess it's a given there will be no artfully dressed rooms at end of build.

Doesn't exactly look like it should have cost £400k to build...

Quite groovy. Totally hopeless to live in for most people, but when a caravan is a luxury space, well...

Good to see the usual rules, rich, thus "eccentric".......

Well £80k went up in smoke and there's a fair bit of labour gone into that.

Love it.

Love the colour of the Chestnut cladding, nice for him to be closer to his family as well.

It didn't. It cost £300k and I'd imagine a butt-load of that went into the concrete base.

My wife and I are going to do our "Grand Design" next year, nothing like as big as the one that's on now but an interesting project in a lot of ways.

She's said we should contact Channel 4 and see if they're interested and what they might offer us to be involved, I'm not so sure but if the money's good it might help fund my future car purchases, do you have any idea of what they are offering your mate?
They only seem to be happy when it all goes wrong and/or they get to make you look like a nugget. And then you and your Mrs get dissected on internet car forums . . .
That's also what I think the programme producers want.

Unfortunately there may be a small problem with my project meeting their criteria as although a little unusual it is well designed, engineered and specified, we will also be building it properly with a superb finish and some interesting features and it will be completed on time.

Budget and finance won't be an issue either as we will have more than enough cash to complete the construction and fitting out, no matter how much my wife spends on cushions and soft furnishings.
