That’s quite some collection that chap has in today’s video. I like his gaff too.
Christ! Every time they revealed the next car I just thought fk Me that's impressive! I thought I was being extravagant when I bought a 300 quid Honda CB200. Good for him, hope he enjoys every mile.

I met Kevin and his wife when they turned up in F50 at a PH meet a few years ago in Letty Green. First thing they did was to come over to chat about my Sunbeam Lotus before anything else. Apparently she had a Sunbeam as a first car...I seem to remember.
Still, top content from the boy Jonny as always. Just gets better and better.

Not feeling the love for the Lada.

Despite the cavity wax I feel like you'll be able to put your fingers through the holes in it after 3, maybe 5 years.

How does it perform in crash testing?

What's the fuel economy like?

And the price, i was shocked how much it was. Does it genuinely offer more than a 4x4 Duster? It costs more after all and has almost no dealer support.

If you'd told me you could get a new Lada Niva today then I'd expect it to be £8-9k on my drive, certainly less than £10k and nowhere near double that.

What was the guys background? He mentioned he got lucky in business and went from driving a Sierra to a Ferrari.

Yup - I remember reading about his 456 and then his 360CS a few years ago when he obviously started doing well for himself, glad its only got better from there!

Great video. Like others have said I have a lot of time for Jonny ( plus Smith and sniff podcast has become the highlight of a Monday)

For me out of that entire collection and considering its a replica with different everything the Lister bell Stratos would be my take away from that entire collection. I'm weird. The Miura was stunning.

Another vote for the Stratos for me, seeing the mechanics getting them ready for the Lombard RAC Rally in York in the 70's had a long lasting impression on me!

Great video on Kevin's collection, what a lucky and nice guy. Fabulous to see that none of his cars are garage queens and he let Johnny loose in the Stratos!

I guess the Stratos rep being arguably 'better' than the real deal is just down to available time. Lancia were under pressure to deliver a futuristic looking rally car with 1970's tech, whereas Lister Bell have been able to take that and refine it without the pressures of time. What a wonderful thing to have in your garage.

I watched the Stratos follow up video yesterday. It didn't work for me. I like Jonny and the channel, liked the car cave video of the owner's collection, but the Stratos driving video was a bit 'meh' and I turned it off about halfway through.

I think it would have been better on a closed course of some kind being driven with some 'beans' and a little flair and flamboyance. Cars like that can 'shine' when not on the public roads. Anyone else?

Shame Jonny wasn't allowed to drive the Muira due to insurance.

Made me smile when he said he bought the cheapest Muira in Europe at the time, and thinking that 'cheapest' in terms of Muira's still means lot of cash..

I quite liked it being on normal roads, being driven in traffic, even backing up to let someone past. Just showed how utterly outrageous it still looks, even more so being out in public. I absolutely loved it.

If they had their own fully fledged car show I think it would be a hit.

Johnny, you must read this thread. So get it sorted ASAP, as CHM are surely almost done.

Thanks. thumbup

Totally agree with you it almost was like being out in the stratos on the road with him, a great film and quite different to his normal stuff (long time Lancia fan so great to see how it drove on the road).

I’ve noticed that I do not always watch every video put out by my favoured YouTubers, also I often bale out part way through.
As much as I like Harry, JayEmm & Jonny Smith, I find their need to churn out content has a detrimental effect on quality.

Tour ticket email went out the other day for the Kent late brake show on August 7th. Will head over as its only a couple of miles from me up the road in Betteshanger Park. Hopefully the weather stays till then! Anyone else planning to go?
