Adverts that make you wanna smash your TV set up. (Vol 2)
Discussion
It's probably been said before but who the f**k writes the Nationwide ads and which bunch of pillocks within Nationwide agrees to their content.
We have moved on from the "poets" to 2nd rate "comedians" with their so called jokes about managing money.
I would never use Nationwide just based on their awful ads.

There are an increasing number of adverts with a rhyming lilt, pretending to be some sort of street poetry. In reality, it the sort of ham-fisted rhyming any 10 year old could write.
Personally, it just puts me off. What was wrong with those infuriatingly catchy jingles from the 60s and 70s. There was zero doubt what they advertised. Nowadays, I can describe annoying ads without any idea of what they are advertising....apart from Dormeo and, on that point, where do all the old mattresses go? Is memory foam recyclable?

I like it. At least they've got their little song to scan and still makes sense. It doesn’t make me want to smash my TV set up, but I don’t like the commercial featuring Ricky Grover and the little beagle, for Beagle Street Insurance.
He accentuates his Cockney accent, and slips in the odd bit of rhyming slang.
As a blue collar Londoner, I undoubtedly speak with a Cockney accent, but I have the ability to moderate it, so I’d hate to think that people liken me to Mr. Grover’s persona in the commercial.

Yes, this. And that twunt "Alan", who gets to tell stupid people how to screw over their children by making sure that their inheritance goes to pay the bonuses of some blood-sucking fat cats who do absolutely sod all in return for thousands upon thousands of pounds in compound interest.I hate Equity Release, and fervently hope that it becomes the next PPI.
And I hate that stupid "I could have danced all night" Audi advert.
A new low for the incredibly annoying adverts on Yootoob; instead of bombarding me with the grammar nonsense and First Day of the Working Week.com, I was subjected to a screed of intelligent design bks from some bellend in a Guy Fawkes mask. This stuff is not suppressed, hidden or subject to any form of censorship, it's not in peer-reviewed literature because no-one is willing to put their name to it as it's a load of anti-science ste.
I've not seen it on any of the mainstream channels (probably cost related) but on channels like Dave, 5USA, etc, there's been an advert running for a company called PitPat with a woman shouting "walkies" over & over again until it ends it what sounds like a hellish / possessed voice.
The advert then ends with said woman dressed up in full, furry cosplay, dog costume.
Edit - also nominating the William Hill "Acca with your Friends" advert.

He’s a comedian and actor and he’s a really funny bloke imho. And ex-boxer.
Nothing against the guy, affable cove, did a few spots of stand up on TV a few years back, and appeared in Eastenders for a short while I’m told, but never hit it big unfortunately. He wasn’t bad IMO, but with no ill will, I remember him as a bit of a Poundland Micky Flanagan.
