Incidentally, I enjoyed S1 of Ozark but expect S2 & S3 to be just more of the same, so jov bothered to watch them.
Then you've missed an absolute treat. One of, if not the best crime thriller/dramas on TV. Season 3 has a real bombshell ending.
It was pretty obvious what was going to happen, unless you thought the Byrdes were on the way out and it was the end of the entire series? It is good though. I'm working my way through Dexter ATM and enjoying it more than I thought I might.
Dexter started as a very good series, stayed good for a while, but the last series in particular was absolutely awful in my opinion. Such a shame.

The John Lithgow series was peak. Everything else after was a bit pants.

Which sereis of Dexter was that? It's funny how scripts for these series can differ so drastically - a couple of series of Ray Donovan were just dreadful.

Watched number 2 last night.
Just watched that... wow. Seen more than a few "sports" movies over the years but some genuine jaw-to-the-floor stuff in this and fabulous imagery.

110 metres!!! I'm not convinced he's human...

Won't say anything more but if you like your adrenaline sports, this is a must.

Finished Reality Z, as has been said first five episodes are just a remake of Dead Set and the last five carry the story on setting it up for season 2. Charlie Brooker was involved in the production apparently so maybe it is just what Dead Set would have been if he had been given a bigger budget/more airtime or what ever it was that restricted Dead Set to just five episodes. Either way, enjoyed the last five episodes.

Also started a another one

Curon

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10101518

A woman returns to her childhood home in northern Italy, which triggers terrifying hauntings

Only watched the first two but seems ok so far.

I think it was a very good performance by John Lithgow but personally I thought S2 was the peak.

As for anything after S4.

Dexter SVU in S5 was fairly good as well, aside from the terrible ending of S5. Then yes it varied between poor and diabolical right until the end. S8 was the absolute worst of the lot post S5 and was barely watchable.

The ending in particular was awful and could only have been made any worse if Dexter had launched into a rousing rendition of "i'm a lumberjack and i'm OK"

The ending of Dexter is without doubt on of the biggest disappointments to any series I have ever invested time in.
Occasionally there floats a rumour they are making a final series. I always pray they don't.

When Dexter was originally on I watched S1 & 2, skipped most of S3 because it was boring, went back for S4 then never watched anything after that.

Seems like only watching 1, 2 and 4 is probably still the best plan.

For what it's worth S4 had a good strong story & 'villain' but S2 is probably the best overall for how it escalated the whole thing past the (pretty strong) first season.

Yes same, apart from the whole premise of being stuck on a train for 7 years making no sense at all (who is maintaining the track? why do they have to keep moving?) it's very watchable.

From what i can gather

The track doesnt need much maintenance as the earth is totally devoid of all life and frozen across its entire surface so very little moves across the track - there was some episodes where avalanches etc drop from the mountainous areas of the segments of the track and the train can get derailed from this , but in general its a bit of a hardy beast. there was a map shown of its course and it mostly goes through

as for why they cannot stop - something about it generating heat from its motion -

as always, this is a scifi program , so you have to go into it with some realities left at the door.

I do enjoy the idea of a mega-long train track that circles the globe......here is a map of its route :

Leaving sense and science at the door - I’m very much enjoying it.
