Star Wars: The Last Jedi (CONTAINS SPOILERS)
Discussion
I agree about TFA. It had it's problems but it just about got away with it because it was the first of a new set, some of the scenes were pretty good in the way they evoked the old Star Wars nostalgia and some of the story threads it setup were quite interesting. However TLJ has basically poo-pooed all of the threads that were setup, e.g. Rey being somebody important MIGHT have gone some way to explain her Mary Sue-ness, EXCEPT she's a nobody and just has amazing powers because she's a strong independent women or some st.
I had no idea a second film could actually change my opinion of the first but it has, for the worst.
It also works in reverse though, Prometheus was so rubbish I can now not even think about watching Alien Covenant. Forwards and backwards ste-ness via osmosis demonstrated right there.

After forcing myself to watch it again, I agree with this guy.
The Last Jedi Was Almost A Star Wars Movie
- We Almost got to see a Lightsaber Duel
- Those jokes were Almost funny
- There was Almost an exciting chase through space
- Somebody Almost sensed a disturbance in the Force
- We Almost got dialog that fit the Star Wars universe
- That Almost looked and moved like Yoda
- Rey Almost got Jedi training
- Supreme Leader Snoke Almost foresaw that coming
- Finn and Rose Almost found a guy to help them
- Two people Almost said "May the Force be with you" to each other
- Chewbacca Almost ate a porg
- We Almost heard someone say "I have a bad feeling about this"
- Poe Almost committed mutiny
- We Almost found out that Rey's parents were important
- Finn Almost made it to the battering ram laser
- Those Almost weren't the Droids we were looking for
- It was Almost the Star Wars Holiday Special
- It was Almost a script Mark Hamill agreed with
- Rian Johnson Almost deserves an Academy award
- Let's hope JJ Abrams doesn't Almost make a Star Wars movie with the next one
The 'Almost' Was Strong With This One. It was Almost a Star Wars movie, but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

I don’t think it’s as bad as I was expecting after the poor reviews.
The film didn’t flow very well and I think Leia should have gone out in a blaze of glory rather than Vice Admiral “You said you have a T-Rex”. It was a noble sacrifice of a character I couldn’t really care about. Apart from that it was easy viewing and I’ll probably watch it again.
Still nowhere near as good as Rogue One which is probably my favourite Star Wars
P.s Anyone else think Snoke’s design was based on Corbyn?

Well, I finally got a chance to watch it.
Good enough IMHO with a few really annoying parts:
1. Leia spacewalking... A bit OTT when she has only exhibited small amounts of the force previously (though of course we have the super strong with the force baddie from her genes)..
2. I had to watch the film with disturbances etc so I may have missed it, but how the feck did that thief know not only about the Rebel plan to run cloaked ships down to the Salt planet, but also the code to unlock it and find them.....
Contrary to many on here, I thought the "do you think you got him" bit was great... And Luke's death having used presumably all his energy to do that.
I also like the Rey and Super Baddie connecting and "connecting" in terms of each "being alone" in the Universe as such.
Oh, can anyone confirm, I thought I saw the little stable lad at the end use the force to grab his broom?
And I don't see the issue with Rey being from "anyone at random", because so was Darth Vader............. And again that is what I was wondering happened at the end with the broom lad, assuming I am right in the first place, it is a continuation of the "Jedi come from any background" that the whole franchise has used....

Yes it was a shameless rip off of this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEoaN9qIxFsconfucuis said:
I think the more you look into the film the worse it becomes. For instance, after seeing snoke pictured above....who the hell was he?! They didn't explain him at all! Some really powerful sith-ish lord just gets killed off with no details revealed about him! What the fk?!
I completely and utterly disagree, the great thing about the original films was that they didn't try and explain everything and give back stories to everyone. The Emperor was so much eviler before they had him elected by Ja Ja Binks and chums. Boba Fett is now a whiny little kid.
Snook was just a cack character.
