I was surprised Mike didn't say anything to him. I guess it's not a position you can easily walk away from. If at all.
No half measures remember When he hits him, he will kill him

If you were doing a job like that you'd put contingencies in place to make sure you survived.
Otherwise you'd be running too much risk of the client ensuring their security and saving the completion fee by putting you in a hole somewhere.
Maybe if you are the type of arrogant French guy that they had in to quote and sent packing. The new German boss seems a bit out of his depth, in my opinion.Otherwise you'd be running too much risk of the client ensuring their security and saving the completion fee by putting you in a hole somewhere.
I just thought, Kim is the lawyer of one of the kids Jimmy dangled from the ceiling. What's the betting he will accidentally meet Jimmy with Kim and give the game away?
I read this week that there are union rules about how long you can suspend an actor upside down for a scene, which mean they would have had to film for only short periods, then take a break, then set it back up again! It must have taken ages to do.

Has it been discussed about the possibilities for the character arc for Kim?
Personal speculation (ready to be shot down) but she doesn't make it to BB... so her fate is unknown right... iyswim. Just saying! ;p
Not so sure about that. I mean obviously she doesn't figure as a character but in the flash-forward scene where Saul is clearing out his office prior to disappearing, he hands his secretary a card and says "...tell them Jimmy sent you". I interpreted that as him telling her to get in touch with legal representation who knew him from his previous life - ie Kim.Personal speculation (ready to be shot down) but she doesn't make it to BB... so her fate is unknown right... iyswim. Just saying! ;p

Haven't seen today's episode yet but the whole subtext of last week's episode seemed to me to be to show how Jimmy and Kim want different things, have very different motivating forces and are moving in different directions. I'm guessing we'll see them drift further apart in the remaining 4 (?) episodes this series and Kim will eventually realise that the relationship has run its course. I'd bet on them just splitting up rather than anything more nefarious happening to Kim.

Better Call Saul is the prequel to BB.
I'm rather hoping that once the timeline reaches BB, a sequel will be made from after BB.
It is also possible for BCS to run parallel BB, showing the events in BB from Jimmy/Saul's perspective, not to mention Gus and Mike's perspective, as well. This also opens the opportunity to examine other story lines directly or indirectly related to the events in BB.I'm rather hoping that once the timeline reaches BB, a sequel will be made from after BB.
Besides, although we're all curious as to what "Gene" is getting up to these days, I'm not sure a series about baking cinnamon rolls day-in, day-out is something I want to see. His life would need to get a lot more interesting (i.e. dangerous) to make for compelling viewing. That said, the potential for a Fugitive-style "man-on-the-run" series, with Jimmy/Saul/Gene using his street-smarts to stay one step ahead of the law, is certainly there!

Great new episode!
For those who are wondering, the flashback to Jimmy and Kim's mailroom days can be positively dated to between 17 February and 29 March 1993, thanks to the office Academy Awards pool where the film Howard's End and Al Pacino's performance in A Scent of a Woman were both mentioned. The nominees for the 65th Academy Awards were announced on 17 February 1993 and the winners were awarded on 29 March 1993.
For perspective, this is about a decade before the "current" events in Better Call Saul take place. Naturally, Jimmy doesn't look any younger, so some suspension of disbelief is required!
Jimmy's paperwork was dated 2003/2004 in today's episode. For those who are wondering, the flashback to Jimmy and Kim's mailroom days can be positively dated to between 17 February and 29 March 1993, thanks to the office Academy Awards pool where the film Howard's End and Al Pacino's performance in A Scent of a Woman were both mentioned.
