biggrin aside from being dead twofold he'd be incredibly old now. Good tie in with the IRA stuff alluded to in this one.

That aside, hopefully there is more to play on the RUC side of his history.

Fu*k me! Now I know that I’m old, I’m sharing a forum
with someone who doesn’t recognise Bob Hoskins!

Being charitable, maybe it's the character he doesn't recognise.

Clearly you don't either as he pretty much looked the same through his whole (long and varied) career, which ended only about 5-6 years ago smile

The Long Good Friday is acknowledged to be one the UKs best gangster movies too.

Quite a surprise that someone on PH doesn't recognise either.

Good little theory circling that Lisa is DCI Gates & Jackie's lovechild, it would only work out if they'd been having an affair for years before S1 though

I'm sure its mentioned in S1 that they've been on/off for years...1989/1990 rings a bell, which would tie in with the theory.
It was when I saw that theory elsewhere, that I knew I had to watch Series-1. It very plausible.

Stephen Graham has done loads. Cheeky cockney in Snatch -Tommy, and psychopathic skin head - Combo in this is England , not to mention boardwalk empire. He is a very versatile and brilliant actor imo. Was sad when he was killed off in this.
You know he's not really dead don't you??

The Long Good Friday. Helen Mirren was in it too. I’m not old. Bob Hoskins didn’t do it.

And Piers Brosnan - the guy holding the gun on Hoskins in the end scene.

AC-3 were in this week's episode.
Sorry, yes, in the first draft of that post, I mentioned that the appearance of AC-3 in this weeks episode is what made me wonder.
In Season 3, I think, Kate went to visit AC-9 when she was trying to get a senior female officer on board to investigate the Masons.

Implication at least within the show is there are multiple units, with a regional remit

Clearly, their remit stretches wide enough that Kate can infiltrate other police stations with a false name and not arouse suspicion as an AC officer

I was watching 'The Boys From Brazil' recently and it's just occurred to me that 'H' could be a clone of Hitler.
