Watched series 1 this weekend and it's made me realise a bit more about Dots involvement in series 2, Dot is the bent copper and us it possible the guy in the video in series 2 is Tommy from series 1 ?

Me & the Mrs watched all 5 episodes tonight, I reckon it was Denton that killed the 15yr old girl, and it was her that took the pictures of Dryden in the car with the young girl.
That's interesting.
I think the photos of Dryden were taken by the Vice rozzers as "insurance", although Denton appears to have been able to take pics of the AC12 officer when he visited the nurse's flat.
My wife's commented that she thinks the murdered schoolgirl may actually have been Denton's daughter from another relationship, or else why would she pick to check her case above all the other missing persons?

That said, it seems no TV critics are being allowed to watch the last episode in advance so the BBC can keep everyone guessing. I usually fall asleep in front of the TV by 9pm, so I'll have to be sure I don't this Weds.! smile

Dot has to have a big part in this, maybe as the centre point of the ambush making Dryden make the call on Tommys orders (he had Dryden over a barrel with pics of girl) and Denton is nothing - just a red herring.

Episode 4 of 6 tonight, I can't help thinking Dryden is the guiltiest party, not least because Robert Lindsay was due to play the role and he's the most famous actor, hence the bad guy. It's a theory that normally holds true, we'll see...
Theory possibly holds true, but Keeley Hawes is probably more famous/expensive than Robert Lindsay thinking about it... Admittedly, not very scientific /forensic...

Looking forward to the finale.

The "agreesive police mate" (with the glasses etc. - can't remember the character's name) of Dryden is my guess is the guilty party.

I have zero knowledge on what is coming up on the last episode this week, but is it plausible that Denton killed the young girl in order to frame Dryden? That would account for her 'picking' that particular case, and also for going to the empty garage where her body was found under the floor. Only thing that makes me think this isn't the case is the face and fingertips removed with a blowtorch - why would Denton do that?

Err, yes, no, err, maybe.... *head explodes* nerd
wink
Having heard interviews with the lovely Keeley Hawes over the last few weeks, she said clues were in each episode, but would only come together in episode 6, but I can't fathom it, tbh. I'd never make a copper.

Read an interview of Jed Mercurio in one of the weekend papers, he referred to Jessica Raine going out of the hospital window as "Cull the Midwife" laugh

That would have been funnier if she'd been a midwife though, not a policewoman.

I find that I don't pay enough attention to these things, so if there have been little clues through all the episodes so far, odds on I will have missed them. Heck, I'd managed to even forget all about the first series. Still enjoying it though.

Oh, OK. I've never watched it. I was wracking my brains trying to think of why it was funny, scene not set in a maternity ward, she hadn't been a midwife before joining AC12 (in the programme), I never thought of her actually being in that series. Doh, indeed.

I'm the same, I finished watching series one last night so now I think I have a better idea as to the back story but still have no idea who the bad guy is!

I don't think it is dot, I think he is going to want to find out who it is to find out who killed tommy

Has anyone else noticed the slight car related error?

The police constabulary in the series is the fictional "Central" force and is meant to be in the Midlands somewhere and all the main police cars have UK mainland number plates.

However, everything was actually filmed on location in Belfast and all the cars in the background have Northern Irish plates.

Still haven't got a clue who did it though?
