I have SkyQ in 2 properties and they are both as bad as each other. Lots of freezing, losing connection and ongoing resets.
Pretty much entirely comes down to either poor home network or bad signal from the dish, the Q system seems to get tripped up quite easily of things aren't as they want.I got the following tip from another forum.
Install the Sky Service app on your iPad/Phone (iOS - not sure if there is an Android version)
Phone Sky and cancel. Refuse all offers (unless they are >50% discount!)
Open Sky Service app and find my offers section. This section now has a 50% discount offer and a number to call. Follow the instructions and bingo!
I appreciate this won't work for everything but worth sharing if it helps anyone
I managed to get my price down from £120 per month to £63 (full package inc Sport no movies)

I am moving out in about 3 weeks and will then move into a new house a week after this. (part of the reason for the new account name here)
Currently i pay about £80 a month which is reduced from just over £100 as i signed up to broadband for 12 months etc (about 6 months ago)
Does anyone know if this means that i can't cancel my old account and start a new one without incurring big fees and will i have to just transfer it all over on the same account details?
I will be increasing the amount i get from sky if this makes any difference, adding sports and fibre BB

I'm surprised you're paying that much, I guess it's a couple Multiroom subscriptions or Fibre Pro? I thought we were paying pretty much everything they offer with Sky Q Silver full package and fibre at £133 a month.
Sky Go Extra - including discounts FREESky Multiscreen £12.00
Sky Multiscreen £12.00
Variety with Sports & Cinema HD £80.00
Sky Fibre Unlimited £20.00
Sky Talk Line Rental £17.40
Sky Talk Anytime Extra £8.00
Total £149.40
At least I get Sky go free
The two extra boxes do come in at £24 though yeah.

No probs. I wonder what the correlation is between how much people pay and how healthy they are. I.e. I would expect the people that pay the most are obese unless you are a pro footballer/athlete of course.
I can't imagine there's really much correlation, you just have a 'holier than thou' look how I am the epitome of life choices mindset. Paying more doesn't suggest you watch it more, just that what you do watch is in the more expensive packages.Digitalize said:

The soon to be ex has started her own new sky account for her new house (moves in 2 weeks) as at our current house i am the only name on the contract. She gave our current home phone number and no other details about our current setup (and no desire to cancel my contract)
I have just got an email and txt to say sorry you are leaving sky and that i will now have to pay as i am exiting early whilst still in a contract.
Sky have seemingly assumed that the current contact is to be cancelled which was never mentioned at any point during her call, and even if she did, which i am certain she has not, Sky have allowed someone not named on the account (and never has been) to cancel my contract!
This is going to be fun to sort out....i will update in due course

Cancelled sky last month because offers not very good but not had one call from their retention team and is cNcells on 6th Dec!
Been sky customer for over 15yrs but current house doesn't have virgin option so they know I'm stuck.
Sky are doing a deal at present to entice folk back. 75% off plus 100 cash back deal for folk who still have equipment and left in the past 12 months. Been sky customer for over 15yrs but current house doesn't have virgin option so they know I'm stuck.
Think the offer is valid until the end of the month.
