And Dot in his dying declaration confirmed H was the first letter of the name, but excluded the first few letters which Kate managed to run through. HAstings thus being impossible...
I noticed that too. Wonder why it was left out?Hastings getting rid of his computer is still iffy.
I did think the woman, McQueen, was going to also be an undercover cop.
The show has been getting more and more long winded as it has gone on and the little twist was no surprise really - I sw it coming when they were talking about the mobiles a bit earlier.
Personally I thought it was a poor end but they seem to want to prolong it forever. I don't think we will ever get proper answers because I doubt they actually have any.

I actually thought this was the best final episode of any of the series. All the rest climaxed in the penultimate episodes, leaving the final eps in a total mess with key matters tied up in the final summing up credits.
I even think it might have been the best episode of this series, which has generally been fairly poor compared to previous ones.
And sadly, I don't think S6 will be the last. Ryan joining the Force suggests they're setting it up for quite a bit more yet.

Best episode of the series by a long way. I even think it might have been the best episode of this series, which has generally been fairly poor compared to previous ones.

I liked the way Ryan referenced PC Banajee as the officer who got him to turn his life around and join the force.
He gives him his contact card at the end of S1.

Pretty boring episode. Got dragging on a bit when we all know that while suspicions about Ted mount, and he's a bit dodgy, he isn't the big man. I loved the big interview scenes with Dot and Huntley, as we knew they were guilty and it was good to see the pressure piled on and to see them sweat. But with Hastings it got tiring very quickly.
The above quote is the biggie for me, and why the solicitor didn't pick up on it I'm not sure, maybe he was asleep? Kate gets to H, and goes on through the alphabet up until around F IIRC before Dot dies. This clearly discounts it being Hastings as it's H A. Doesn't take a genius.
The ending of this series is annoying me, Bigalow, ah I have info, have immunity and fk off somewhere.
Hastings, arrested and without intervention potentially charged with offences, oh, written warning and back in office.
Arnott, shot a police officer, have a commendation and go home, take some pills. No explanation as to why she wanted Bigalow dead.
Mcqueen, oh I have info, released and now teaches kids that crime is bad.
It just seems really open ended, and careless, it's bugging me. Seems they they bagged the commission of the sixth series and switched off for the last couple of episodes.

Kate was an AFO in series 3 ( undercover) and she also shot Dot didn't she ?
Real life would dictate that she would be unable to do her requals for her ticket ( probably) but hey ho ...
Ginger Tranter was actually a Sergeant but was referred to as a Constable in the bit at the end ... PH, pedantry matters - continuity fail.
Thanks for clearing that up, I would have to go back and rewatch seasons 1-4 but I'm lazyReal life would dictate that she would be unable to do her requals for her ticket ( probably) but hey ho ...

I’m interested in one thing and one thing only and that’s MILF gangbangs!
What smut was he watching to warrant disposing of his laptop
Strong episode I thought that wrapped things up as well as could be expected. I predict an opiate addiction for Steve in season 6.
Cruel punishment for Bigellow, that 2002 Fiesta with rotten arches.

Believe it or not, I've binged the entire thing in the last week, start to finish.
First 3 series really enjoyed.
Series 4 was a good restart after the caddy and then it followed the same path.
Series 5 was pretty pointless IMO just building to the last episode, which I simply watched at x30 on sky.
The character and acting are great, however I think they should have simply moved on from S3 to new stories.
They've 1 series left of this caddy ste I think, otherwise people will give up.

I quite enjoyed that final episode.
Ok some of it stretches the believable quite a lot but it was still good Sunday evening tv.
SWMBO reckons it wasn’t porn on his laptop and that he has gambling problem which to be fair is plausible.
There is no way he would still be in his job after all that, he would have been persuaded that retiring on full pension was in his best interests.

IIRC Hastings passed up on a bit of bouncy-bouncy with Gill because of his Catholic hang-ups. So his shame at perusing gentlemen's interests websites is perhaps understandableOk some of it stretches the believable quite a lot but it was still good Sunday evening tv.

Sat watching it with the missus and guessing each "twist" as we went through it.
I've either missed my vocation in life or it was a little too predicable.
Not sure why we needed a feature length finale when they could have done it in 10 minutes .
The rest of it was fairly entertaining though.

Loved Adrian Dunbar in this. Great. Said at the end he was put on a final written warning for misconduct in office, I assume this was the visiting Lee Banks in prison off the record. I think there will more to play on that next series.
It was for the undercover op at the nightclub as it wasn't authorised. Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
