So glad she’s gone, couldn’t get along with her at all, though I was very curious how you handle nettles as an ingredient without stinging the hell out of your fingers. Shame that wasn’t shown.
Rowan making something inedible was luckyTasha is a stand above rest so far.

yeah really like tasha she actually seems normal for a gbbo contestant too
but im not sure how rowan didnt go i mean its not often you hear disgusting and horrendous coming from pauls bread filled mouth
Most of this years contestants seem more normal. I was finding that like the apprentice the content and subject matter was being spoilt by trying toe have contestants that wanted to be on camera rather than being talented. I too felt the Rowan should have gone I thought the farmer type brought an alternative angle to the bakes. Glad the bloke didn't go I think he's been pretty strong on the whole and just had a bad week.but im not sure how rowan didnt go i mean its not often you hear disgusting and horrendous coming from pauls bread filled mouth
We're sorry to see Abbie the land girl go, no more foraged/found/floor food ingredients now.
Lovely, likeable bunch that just happen to tick lots of demographic boxes...Saku is a joy, love the rabbit-in-headlights look tempered with calm controlled execution of "bake".....really enjoying this series.

I agree with the generally positive comments about this series of GBBO. Also agree that Dan was a bit fortunate not to go this week.
Tasha is talented and lovely, but I also think the rugby fella (Josh?) is good.
Weaker remaining contestants include Nicky and Rowan - I'm hoping Dan regains his form because he seems like a great bloke.
I was unsure how the Alison/Noel partnership might work but I'm pleasantly surprised; her enthusiasm is infectious and a great foil for his wackiness.

I know they always suggest it's only based on that weeks performance, but I think Dan got away with that one due to past glory. Last in technical and complete failure in the showstopper, Abbi seemed to beat him in both of those.
Tasha and Josh currently the top two by a decent margin.

Not really fair that, why not come back for the show stopper next day and get marked on the two bakes assuming a mid table effort for the technical. Can they all feel a bit faint and get a pass to the next round?
Edit to say watched it a bit behind so just seen result, that seems fair to not lose anyone this week.

I'm glad we didn't lose Cristy or Saku as their both very entertaining but they were both woeful this week, however I was surprised how bad Rowan was. Could be a three way fight to the bottom next week if those two don't pull their fingers out.
I did find Alison Hammond a bit too much this week, she's been good up to now but she was far too OTT for me this week. First time I've found her annoying so far hopeful it was just the way this episode was edited.

Agreed, I think I said last week Rowan would be in trouble if he didn't pull his socks up this week and he had another shocker, unfortunately. Tough week all round with no one really standing out across all three, glad Cristy got star baker but any other week I don't think she'd have been in with a shout.
It can sometimes be the one that watches and learns that wins in the end. I remember when Nadiya Hussain won it she didn't seem anything special for a while. But she clearly paid attention and knew how to apply herself as the series went on. If I recall correctly she was the clear winner in the final.
