I find it so weird that grownups would go into bat for their favourite youtube creator over what is so obviously a cheap attempt at pr. Cheap pr and cheap content is literally the backbone of their income.
I think the Internet cocksuckers are more annoying than the Internet experts they moan about. WPA said:

Some weird opinion on here about the MA crash, I mean come on he could of been seriously hurt in that crash. To then put in snide comments in about his gf and how upset she was, grow up, you would be the same if you had a phone that you partner had been in a crash. As for filming it, well yeah, it's his business, that's what he does. These things happen unfortunately, just be happy he's ok and no one else was involved, it's just a car.
Indeed. Any anyway everyone's got a camera in their pocket its called a phone! What is Hannah going to be doing when she's just had a call to say her fella has been in a car smash pissing herself laughing? Half of these comment trolls simply dopnt have a partner that would care about them to react in this way that's probably why they don't get it. I'm not sure I would have posted some of the footage but then Youtubes not my job and I'm not in the public eye in that way. As it is Matts job then why would you not create some content from it? If he hadn't the trolls would be having a go at him for hiding it. You can't win but I guess in the public eye you do basically have a responsibility to be honest to your followers. Personally I thought it was well done it addresses the Instagram thing. It is what it is luckily not hurt. My first thought was thank god it didnt catch fire or the news could have been different. Just seem bizarre to me that you would waste time filming it but then I am not a Youtuber.
I don't see the problem with all of this, it's youtube, it's content. He's done 1.7m views in 18 hours so i'm sure it will go some way help pay for the rebuild.
Just for info, MA thread here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
Matt does make some school boy errors, such as putting the wrong fuel in his Audi.
He said he was concerned about driving home in the rain, so why did he not just leave the car at his workshop?
I have seen many trackday and modded cars driving on slicks/semis for general use. I am sure it is cool and all that but it is so easy to get caught out in the rain.
So Matt should know better and show a good example inho. I will give him credit for owning up and being fairly philosophical about it.
Car bad?
Car VERY bad!
As his dad would say.

They actually are when up to temp as I pointed out - obviously assuming there's no standing water.
AR1s specifically, are good because they are soft, R888Rs are a bit better again. N1 Cup2s are atrocious by contrast.
This is all personal actual experience on road and track. Maybe try it.
Any puddles changes the calculus obviously and just in case you have trouble reading again, they have to be up to temp.
Nope, you are simply talking BS. They are not good in the wet regardless of their temps. AR1s specifically, are good because they are soft, R888Rs are a bit better again. N1 Cup2s are atrocious by contrast.

Also Cup2Rs are even softer and more aggressive than AR1s - and they seemed to do pretty well by your own graphs - because they are so soft they get up to temp very rapidly.
I've driven AR1s at Spa and the Nurburgring amongst others in the wet (no puddles) in a car with no ABS/TC/DSC - once warmed up they were very good - but what do I know hey.
However - nankang tyres of any variety without experience anything moist or damp you need life insurance. I think lack of experience is a big cause of this and they are not the tyres for Matt.

Ha yeah right he did the mapping company a massive favour with that fiasco which goes a long way to indicating what sort of guy he is ie a good one!
Wait, so you think he blew up a perfectly good engine on purpose, just to advertise Mallory Performance? An already well established company with a great reputation in the car industry?
The level of cynicism on this thread is another level. I'm happy to be called a youtuber cocksucker or whatever but you lot are no worse than those conspiracy theorist nutjobs who think the Pentagon wasn't hit by a plane on 9/11.

I think you have completely misunderstood what he was saying. The Audi engine blew at high revs shortly after being remapped. Was the remap the cause of the failure? Maybe it was but mat took 100% of the blame himself rather than suggest the map contributed to it. An already well established company with a great reputation in the car industry?

No the first part is correct. Why film that. He wasn’t injured in the slightest. So why edit that in. The youth love the drama!
Because it creates a story? Do you complain when any form of media shows emotion as part of the story?I have no other issues.

What sort of money is he making on c.2m views in 24 hours?
Very good money but the Lambo won't be fixed just with that.Frimley111R said:

It did seem a bit odd. If the Lambo was the absolute worst car to take home surely he had another he could have taken?PT1984 said:
I understand that. But this is a channel that rebuilds cars. Not news at 10. My issue is two people on this video (that is only published to generate revenue) are driving, phone wobbling in hand, filming themselves. Is that acceptable?
I have no other issues.
Going by the angle I think his friend's phone was on a mount on his windscreen while he was talking. I'm not sure about the first time we see Hannah but the second time her phone is by the gearlever and you can see her hands on the wheel. I think we can give then the benefit of the doubt.I have no other issues.
