a bit of a slow one I agree.

Watched it this afternoon and already cant recall what all went on. BCS does seem to have a couple of there throughout each season.

Last one did seem to be a bit of a filler episode. I had t realised how long I had been watching and when it ended was a bit surprised, nothing had happened

It's strange. I enjoy it, but it glacial. Cant beleive it's on Series 5 already. I'm still waiting for something to happen.

I’m only on series 3 but Mikes story is well better than Jimmys. Dare I say I’ve even skipped to the Mike bits, I’m up to him having a desert meeting with chicken shop man and shooting the shoes.

Isn't Fring in Breaking Bad, therefore can't possibly be a goner in BCS because it's all a prequel?

Not Fring, the 'manager' in the yellow top who was furiously cleaning the fryer.

i thought it might be a story arc where we always saw him quite calm, and he slippped up this time. Maybe it was just the tension.

I don't think there was anything wrong with the fryer. He was just keeping a witness to prove he was innocently in his legit office when a phone call was made to him. Just thinking out loud.

Yeah that was my thoughts on it too.

I enjoyed this episode as normal, very slow paced but I love all the subtlety and background stuff happening.

Yes, there wasn't anything wrong, he was either very tense because of the pickup and taking it out on the employee, or just having him as a witness who could say later "Oh yeah he kept me late because the fryer wasn't clean enough, what a d!ck of a boss he can be!"

It seemed pretty obvious to me. The show was highlighting how Gus's calm demeanour is a facade that he struggles to maintain, and that his true character is vicious and merciless (remember the box cutter episode...). He suppresses it normally, but when under some pressure - as he was with the DEA sting - the cracks in this facade appear. That manifested in him picking on the guy cleaning the sinks.

This, zero to do about him needing an alibi, as he's not even remotely close to being a suspect and never will be, its the deeper fact that Lalo was setting him up and costing him $1m, so declaring war.

Fring is protected by Don Eladio "only as long as he keeps making them so much money"
That's $1m less he has made, so he's $1m less safe.

Thought maybe the fryer cleaning was him evaluating the lad to work in his meth lab making sure he could clean stainless steel vats properly

I hope that's a joke. smile

Why would Gus need an alibi for taking a phone call, or indeed an alibi at all? Are people forgetting that this precedes the entireity of Breaking Bad? He wasn't even a person of interest until season 5 in that.

Very cautious man who plans and prepares for everything, so far as is humanly possible?

An alibi for what?

He was in the process of losing $700k, he knew he was about to lose it, he was anxious awaiting the news it had gone.
