Not really sure if this means something, but bit of a a change:
Edited - wow, the guy is quids in. Renewed with Spotify AND allowed to share on other platforms.

Mad that they would pay him that much and then make it non-exclusive to Spotify again.Edited - wow, the guy is quids in. Renewed with Spotify AND allowed to share on other platforms.

I assume that means it just didn’t bring the audience figures in to Spotify they expected.
I stopped listening a long time ago, in fact I would actively avoid anything to do with Joe Rogan now.

Apart from a thread on here solely discussing Joe Rogan.......
He's done ya there mate Haven’t listened in ages, and there was a time I listened quite a lot to him.
I'll check in to see who's on, but rarely can make it through. The alien ones aren't even fun anymore lol.

Still listening to the odd few. The latest one is pretty good. I no longer listen to many of the stand-ups. James English has taken over for me in the main
Can’t abide when Rogan has on comedians or the MMA show As for J English some good guests but I wish he would stop interrupting his guests or oft on tangents about his past then positive energy and stuff

Are we talking about the same James English? (The Anything Goes Podcast) I've found him brilliant at letting the guest speak with just the odd nudge now and again if he thinks something's been missed. Much as I love JRE I'm finding him moving the convo back to hunting/JJ or whatever he's learnt recently (which is often complete BS)As for J English some good guests but I wish he would stop interrupting his guests or oft on tangents about his past then positive energy and stuff

For some of the podcasts (not Rogan though) that Spotify bought exclusive rights to, listeners fell by up to 75%.I assume that means it just didn’t bring the audience figures in to Spotify they expected.
With Rogan, Spotify have worked out they can make more money by selling the ads on other platforms

Yep Same one
I had to turn off the Geoff Thompson one he started about energy and stuff .
English does have a lot of more interesting guests / stories
I trained with Geoff many moons ago (still at a BCA club now) and was really looking forward to it when it came out. Fascinating guy, but as you say, that interview was hard work sadly.I had to turn off the Geoff Thompson one he started about energy and stuff .

A couple of good ones back to back, I'd recommend for very different reasons:
2151 - Rizwan Virk
This feels like classic JRE, without the culture wars, anti-vax stuff. It's 90% about the simulation theory. Very interesting discussion, without Joe steering the conversation off topic. The guy teaches a class sim theory at MIT, used to develop computer games, so he's got some good points and credibility.
2152 - Terrence Howard
This one is very entertaining. Kind of like a Kayne West, Jesus complex character, although far more likable! It is a little like the ramblings of someone with paranoid schizophrenia. Thinks he's figured out the universe. Maths is wrong. 1x1 = 2, not 1. Physics is wrong. Gravity doesn't exist. Thinks he's got patents for wild technology and perpetual motion machines. Really a wild ride and a load of fun. He's got a serious memory on him and an impressive ability to go on long word salad rants. He communicates utter nonsense in quite a coherent way, something to behold!

I might consider taking up pot to listen to that one. This one is very entertaining. Kind of like a Kayne West, Jesus complex character, although far more likable! Howard definitely has some issues.
-physical abuse and harassment incidents
-falsehoods about his education
His 1 x 1 = 2 "logic" is truly laughable:
"How can it equal one?" he said. "If one times one equals one that means that two is of no value because one times itself has no effect. One times one equals two because the square root of four is two, so what's the square root of two? Should be one, but we're told it's two, and that cannot be."
