Is he the bloke that seems to be jumping on someone in the same trailer? Will there be proper Aliens? Seems that way with all the facehugger action, looks like it will explain how the big ship got on that planet and how the aliens ended up in there. Can not wait!

So is it looking like the Space Jockey ship crashes whilst they are on the planet?

A couple of those scenes look like Shaw/Rapace watching the ship crash.

Suppose to be a different planet and a different ship, looks pretty much like the same ship though with a Space Jockey in same mostly dead position?

Don't think it can be the same SJ as the trailer suggests that they have removed its head, possibly body for autopsy.
Between this and The Dark Knight Rises trailer, I am very excited about spending time in the cinema next summer.

My only slight worry is that this is a 3-D film. I am not convinced by it, the loss of resolution and sharpness is not worth it.

There will doubtless be 2D showings too though.

Yes but if it is made as a 3d film then there is compromise for the overall aesthetic. Much prefer imax

That man on the Space Jockey Bridge...

...looks huge by comparison with the Kane and crew when they find the SJ

Compare this:

To this:

Are we perhaps seeing the 'Alien' in this film in that top picture as he looks almost the right size for the giant seat?

I wondered that too, but realised those look like two different Jockey bridges - both look very similar, but they're detailed differently (as is the background). I figured whoever's on the right is an android, since they're not wearing any sort of space suit - could be wrong though.

As I just mysteriously posted on another thread:

My guess on the big blue swirly thing is a navigation system. It looks a bit like a solar system. Maybe ours? That's the objective perhaps. Get to it, destroy or alter it so that the thing doesn't go and attack earth?

top picture looks like the space jockey is already in the seat as you can see the right arm is raised whereas the bottom picture has the right arm down the side of the space jockey and not touching the telescope.

I've got a feeling the figure is the space jockey.

And now for something annoying...

In both the first film, and this one, the space jockey platforms are level.
That would tend to show that the attitude of the first one is "correct"

I wonder if that will make it to the geek trivia on IMDB.

If you don't want to see the (probable) new Alien in Prometheus then DON'T click this link:

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/debbiedowne...

I did and wish I hadn't as I wanted the new film to 'hit me' like the original Alien film did when I first saw it.
